For those of you that know me, you'd understand how excited I am to see Marina Diamandis return in 2011. Diamandis, aka Marina & the Diamonds, produced some of the best pop music last year. In fact, some of the best pop music in years.
Marina returns via her new "alter-ego", Electra Heart. I use the word alter-ego loosely asteh word project is probably more fitting. This week a video was released via Marina's official site, with the below text:
"Electra Heart" embodies the lies, illusions and death of an American Dream.The video itself features the haunting yet outstanding album track Fear and Loathing... but it's just left me wanting more. MORE MARINA, MORE.
"Part 1" is called "Fear And Loathing". This includes a preview of an album track, under same title. "Part 2" will be posted on this same page next Monday at 4pm.
