The late yet very talented Amy Winehouse will have her third studio album, Lioness: Hidden Treasures, released 5 December. The album features twelve tracks that were recorded across her Frank and Back to Black time.
The album, put together by Amy's past producers Salaam Remi and Mark Ronson, will compile previously unreleased tracks, alternative versions of existing tracks and additional cover versions - including her most recent duet with crooner Tony Bennett, Body & Soul.
Says Mitch Winehouse of the album, "I spent so much time chasing after Amy — telling her off — that I never realised what a true genius she was. It wasn’t until I sat down with the rest of the family and listened to this album that I fully appreciated the breadth of her talent. From jazz standards to hip-hop songs, it took my breath away.”
I don't know about you, but I'll be one of the first to get my hands on this. It still saddens me to this day that such an amazing, talented life was cut so short.
