English indie-pop duo The Ting Tings have confirmed, after a number of false starts, the release of their sophomore album Songs From Nowheresville. Last October the group released Hang It Up, which now features as the lead single from the LP. The previous single Hands, which was originally listed as part of the tracklist, has now been cut.
"We didn't want to sound like everything else on the radio," the Ting Tings' Katie White tells SPIN about the band's second album, a tight, genre-hopping 10-track collection. "The problem when you have a hit record is that everyone expects the same thing over and over again."Sounds From Nowheresville is slated for a release on 24 February [iTunes]
