Canadian singer-songwriter Nelly Furtado has returned with "Big Hoops (Bigger The Better)," the first of new material to appear on the pop star's fourth English-speaking studio album (fifth overall). The new album, "The Spirit Indestructible," follows the globally successful 2006 release "Loose."
The track was produced by Rodney Jerkins, aka Darkchild. Furtado has also called upon the producing talents of Tiƫsto, Salaam Remi and John Shanks for the upcoming release.
“I began writing these songs around the time I released my Spanish album "Mi Plan",” Furtado says. “I was in a great head space, feeling refreshed and ready to really deliver in English again. This album is all about positivity, youth, good energy, and the relentlessness of the spirit. I want people to live this music the way we did when we wrote it. I want them to jump, dance, scream, laugh, cry, love, and vibe to it, and to turn it up very loud everywhere.”
"Big Hoops (Bigger The Better)" is available today, with "The Spirit Indestructible" available from June 15 [iTunes]
