Ex-American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert has premiered the video for the Bruno Mars co-penned track "Never Close Our Eyes," the second single to be lifted from the pop stars sophomore album "Trespassing."

The video features Glambert in a dull sci-fi plot, with the 30 year-old eager to break free. "The one thing that I was really excited about was maybe something sort of science fiction. Something kind of New World Order, in the future. Something not of this reality. When we put that out there, a gentleman called Dori Oskowitz came back with an amazing treatment. This director is a really cool guy, totally on the same page as me."

It's an interesting clip - we'll let you be the judge on whether you think it rocks the song or not.

Lambert has some pretty big names on the production list for this LP, including Pharrell Williams ("Trespassing," "Kickin' In") and Dr Luke ("Never Close Our Eyes," "Naked").

American singer-songwriter Adam Lambert has unveiled the second single to be lifted from his sophomore album "Trespassing," the track "Never Close Our Eyes." The track was co-penned by Bruno Mars and produced by Dr Luke and Cirkuit.

"Never Close Our Eyes" is an uptempo pop track that should hopefully see Lambert return to chart spotlight, after "Better Than I Know Myself" failed to make a huge impression commercially. Of course, employing the talents of Mars and Luke will surely aid it gaining some form of recognition.

American singer-songwriter Adam Lambert has premiered the video for "Better Than I Know Myself", the lead single to be taken from the artists up-coming sophomore album "Trespassing".

The clip finds Lambert is a world where his 'good' self vs his 'bad' self fighting it out until one reigns supreme - quite a fitting clip for the Dr Luke/Cirkut/Ammo produced track. Who wins? Watch the video to find out.

LISTEN TO NEW ADAM LAMBERT WITH "BETTER THAN I KNOW MYSELF"

American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert is preparing for the launch of his sophomore album Trespassing, with a killer of a lead single, Better Than I Know Myself.

The track, penned/produced by pop gems Dr Luke and Claude Kelly, is the first of new material in which Lambert has already received rave reviews. After the major success of his debut album For Your Entertainment, fans and bloggers alike have been patiently waiting to hear what the glamour king would next produce.

Better Than I Know Myself does not disappoint. Glambert's vocals continue to flawlessly deliver on the mid-tempo pop ballad. Enlisting the work of Dr Luke and co was a brilliant move, one in which I can safely say will propel the star to the top of the charts yet again.

Better Than I Know Myself will be released 21 December (Australia), 20 December (US). Trespassing is slated for a March release. [iTunes]

Adam Lambert announces new single, Better Than I Know Myself, and new album, Trespassing

US singer/songwriter Adam Lambert has revealed the title to his upcoming single, Better Than I Know Myself, and sophomore album, Trespassing.

The single has been created by the hands of hitmaker Dr Luke with friends Ammo and Cirkut, with credits for writing of the track go to Claude Kelly. Interesting to note Glambert previously worked with Dr Luke and Kelly on his debut single For Your Entertainment.

The album, Trespassing, is due to drop in Spring of 2012.

Lambert's debut album, For Your Entertainment, achieved a platinum accreditation in the US, Australia and Canada; and peaked at #3, #5 and #7 respectively in each country.

IT'S OFFICIAL - AUSTRALIA LOVES P!NK AND P!NK LOVES GAY MARRIAGE

To be honest I think we already knew that Australia seems to be mesmerised by P!nk - after launching it here on this blog, P!nk's latest single Raise Your Glass was rushed to digital media and within 24 hours of doing so, was #1 on iTunes Australia.

If the single stays at the top of the iTunes chart for another 24 hours (very, very likely), P!nk will have scored herself her fourth #1 single in Australia, knocking Rihanna from the top spot with her latest single Only Girl (In The World). Of course we'll need to wait 'til Sunday for the "official" announcement as ARIA post this weeks results on their site.

The track, which was penned by P!nk herself and pop master Max Martin (responsible for way to many pop smash hits to mention, working with artists such as Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Taio Cruz, Adam Lambert, etc) is taken from her greatest hits album to be released in Australia on November 15, titled Greatest Hits... So Far!

After chatting with MTV.com a few days ago, P!nk revealed info about the video clip, which started shooting on October 4:

"I will be celebrating a gay wedding [in the video]," she said of the clip, which she said was shooting this week. "I am not the minister. ... There's so many [celebrations]. Of course typical psychotic me, it's 80,000 different things going on."

Pink said the video's theme was inspired by real-life experience. "I threw my best friend's wedding in my backyard — [she] is gay and she married her wife, and it was absolutely beautiful," she recalled. "At the end of it, her mom said, 'Why can't this be legal?' and started crying. It was just the most heartbreaking thing I've ever seen, so that's why I'm doing it in my video. "

Well surprise, surprise. Another super star supporting gay marriage. I swear, if this country's government (ie: Gillard - yes YOU) doesn't hurry the bejesus up and move past their ignorant, Neanderthal laws... well, well... I might just burst out in song.
