[VIDEO PREMIERE] AVRIL LAVIGNE "WISH YOU WERE HERE"

Canadian singer/songwriter Avril Lavigne has premiered the video for the third (and potentially the last...?) single from her Goodbye Lullaby album, the ballad Wish You Were Here.

Whilst What The Hell achieved top ten status in Australia, New Zealand and her native Canada; the whole Lullaby campaign has been pretty dull for Lavigne. Wish You Were Here is a strong track,  but I'll be surprised if it matches the success of tearjerkers When You're Gone (form 2004) or I'm With You (from 2002).

[VIDEO PREMIERE] RIHANNA "CHEERS (DRINK TO THAT)"

Princess Rihanna has premiered the video for her sixth (!) single lifted from her Loud album, the Avril Lavigne-sampling track Cheers (Drink To That).

The Runners produced single has already reached top 20 status in Australia and the US, and features none other than Avril herself in the video. Cheers, love.

RIHANNA REVEALS COVER FOR "CHEERS (DRINK TO THAT)"

Today Rihanna tweeted the official cover for the sixth single to be taken from her multi-platinum selling album Loud, the track Cheers (Drink to That). The song produced by The Runners samples Avril Lavigne's 2002 single, I'm With You.

CHRISTINA PERRI'S "JAR OF HEARTS" FINALLY IMPACTING AUSTRALIA

US singer/songwriter Christina Perri has finally taken Australia by storm. Her debut single, Jar of Hearts, has been released locally and here, locals love it. The track this week bulleted into the top ten on the ARIA Singles Chart, and currently it sits at #2 on the iTunes Singles Chart.

Jar of Hearts, written by Perri herself and songwriters Drew Lawrence and Barrett Yeretsian, peaked at #17 on the Billboard Hot 100 last May. Elsewhere globally, it's been pretty quiet for the 24 year old who originates from Philadelphia.

If you're a lover of Avril Lavigne, Kelly Clarkson or even early Alanis Morissette - Christina Perri is for you. Jar of Hearts was written by Perri about an ex who wanted to rekindle a past relationship. Now ladies, we all know that's a no-no. Just listen to tracks like Since U Been Gone by Ms Clarkson, or You Oughta Know by Ms Morissette.
