English singer-songwriter Florrie has premiered the video for "Shot You Down," the lead single to be taken from her (outstanding) current EP, "Late."

The clip essentially features the young broad looking glamorous playing the drums. Although, there are a few shots that incorporate a good ole wind machine. Really, what more do you need when the music speaks for itself?

"Late" is available today [iTunes]

English singer-songwriter and all-round fabulous pop star Florrie (real name: Florence Arnold) has unveiled a teaser for her up-coming, much-anticipated EP "Late." The release includes the tracks "Shot You Down," "Every Inch," "I’m Gonna Get You Back" and "To The End."

Florrie tells us in a recent blog post "This new EP is the most interesting and best stuff I had from the new songs I’ve written that weren’t the other two big tracks I mentioned before. I am SOOOO proud of the work, and I want to say a massive thanks to the team, who have stuck with me writing and making these records! This EP has been made in Kent, Shoreditch, Portland and LA! I know you guys have waited a long time for this, but I really feel like it’s gonna be worth the wait. And of all the EP names I came up with, along with your ideas too, at the end of the day, the most appropriate name, and the name I’ve chosen, is… “LATE” :) I think it’s pretty perfect…because it is so LATE!"

"Shot You Down" sounds like a Sophie Ellis-Bextor dancefloor killer, "Every Inch" reminds us of a Xenomania-produced hit, "I'm Gonna Get You Back" drives pop-rock like a revamped legend and "To The End" has us melting with pure delight. Listen to the preview below for all the snippets!

The "Late" EP will be available from May 31 [iTunes]

Just recently I've stumbled across a very talented artist, UK singer-songwriter Florence Arnold, aka Florrie.

22 year-old Florrie released her first EP Introduction late last year, with her second EP Experiments only last month. The singles Give Me Your Love [LISTEN] and Begging Me [LISTEN] have been released from the EPs respectively.

Whilst both tracks are good, in that indie-pop-Sia kinda way, it's a number from the Experiements EP that has really grabbed my attention - the track I Took A Little Something.

I Took A Little Something, produced by the team from Xenomania, sounds like the song Girls Aloud wish they recorded. Throw in some remixes by Fred Falke and Loverush UK! and everyone is dancin'.

HOOKED. A must for any collection this year.

What's even juicier is, if you head over to Florrie's official website you can download a stack of free mixes of various tracks!

I Took A Little Something is taken from the Experiments EP, available digitally today [ITUNES]
