US pop group Selena Gomez & The Scene have premiered the video for the pop masterpiece Hit The Lights, the third single to be lifted from their When The Sun Goes Down album.

The video, directed by Philip Andelman, features the Disney princess and her friends in a range of different scenes in doing nothing but fooling around and having fun. You know, these Gen Y kids...

Speaking about the clip, Gomez told MTV.com "This one's [the video] saying that I'm at the point where I'm having fun with it. I'm not trying to be older. I'm not trying to be younger. I'm trying to explain where I'm at in my life, and I feel like that's what describes it, and having fun with my friends and it was beautiful and it was simple," she said in a phone interview. "I thought it was nice."

SELENA GOMEZ & THE SCENE TO RELEASE "HIT THE LIGHTS" AS THIRD SINGLE FROM "WHEN THE SUN GOES DOWN"

Selena Gomez and the Scene are set to release Hit The Lights as the third single to be lifted from their third studio album When The Sun Goes Down. The release follows the singles Who Says and Love You Like a Love Song, which peaked at #21 and #35 respectively.

The track, co-penned by Australian singer/songwriter Leah Haywood, will have the video premiere on 16 November.

Teen superstar Selena Gomez, alongside her band The Scene, have released the second single off their third album, When The Sun Goes Down. The track, Love You Like a Love Song, follows the anthem Who Says.

As you would know Who Says is the bands attempt at a liberating track similar to Katy Perry's Firework, Ke$ha's We R Who We R, etc. Is it a great song... ummm, lets just say it's unoffensive. Love You Like a Love Song however, is BRILLIANT.

LYLALS (see, I've already shortened it to something sassy so y'all know what I'm talkin' 'bout) is a Rock Mafia produced track that really hits the nail on the head. It has an unforgivably addictive chorus that locks you into a pop trance so before you know it, you're bopping away singing the track at the bus stop.

In addition, the video is quite cute - it features Selena at a karaoke bar singing on stage and featuring in some of the bad generic Asian videos. I don't ever remember sounding that good at karaoke though...

Love You Like A Love Song and When The Sun Goes Down are released in Australia on 1 July. Elsewhere worldwide, they're available digitally today [ITUNES]
