SUGABABE AMELLE BERRABAH RECORDING SOLO MATERIAL

What a start to a new year in the land of the Sugababes. First we had recent announcements that Sugababes 1.0 members Mutya Buena and Keisha Buchanan are in the studio, which has prompted fans to discuss whether a reunion is in the pipeline.

News now surfaces that Sugababes 4.0 member Amelle Berrabah is in the studio recording solo material, working with songwriter/producer Pete Kirtley. The following conversation is taken from the pairs Twitter accounts,

With Heidi Range's latest solo work on Dancing On Ice, the blonde was forced to comment on what the fate of the current line-up is "We haven't got any plans at the moment, but we haven't split up as a band." Range said at a recent ITV press conference. "We're just kind of doing our own little thing at the moment, so we'll see in the future."

Hmm. Pairing that with Berrabah's solo studio work, that spells B.R.E.A.K.U.P. to us. Jade Ewen, where you at girl?

A POSSIBLE SUGABABES v1.0 REUNION IN THE PIPELINE?

We're not one for spreading rumours here at IS IT BUSH WEEK... after all, we're a a reputable music blog that only reports solid information. On saying that however, this is just too good to pass up.

In recent months, since the demise of Sugababes v4.0 and their last single attempt with Freedom, rumours have been spreading like wildfire across the internet about a possible reunion of the original Sugababes v1.0 - Keisha Buchanan, Mutya Buena and Siobhán Donaghy.

One third of the successful British girl band just tweeted the below, which has had fans squealing with delight about the possibilities that it brings to mind:

SUGABABES COVER "LOADED" SEPTEMBER ISSUE

On the verge of their new single Freedom being released next month, the Sugababes prepare themselves for the spotlight again by featuring in the UK magazine, Loaded.

SUGABABES DROP COVER FOR "FREEDOM"

After premiering the video for their latest single Freedom last week, the Sugababes have now dropped the artwork for the single cover. Saucy. Again, it still looks like they playing along with the lesbian-fantasy theme.

[VIDEO PREMIERE] SUGABABES "FREEDOM"

And here it is. What seems like months since we originally heard the track, the Sugababes have unleashed the video for their latest offering Freedom. The track is the first to be lifted off their yet-to-be-titled eighth album, with new record company RCA Records.

Will the 'babes be able to reclaim the girl group throne? Only time will tell...

Over the past few weeks snippets of the new Sugababes track have circulated the 'net, however the full studio version has now leaked online. Signing with Sony Music's RCA Records, Freedom is the first of new material to be taken from the 'babes eighth studio album.

LISTEN TO NEW KEISHA BUCHANAN WITH "UNDER CONTROL"

Ya-hoo! Finally, something from the real talent behind the Sugababes (ok, ok... Mutya has talent too - admittedly I love them both. Equal. Heidi who? Pft).

Ex-Sugababes hottie Keisha Buchanan's solo efforts have leaked! Posted on Keisha's Twitter account a few days ago [TWITTER]:

"Pretty bummed about my track being leaked, But the response has been amazing!! Thanks so much. Even better 2 come:-) Album almost finished X"

Bummed? Nooooo, she shouldn't be - the track has sent the geeks, homos and the REAL Sugababe lovers in a frenzy!*

*according to me, that is.

Under Control is the track that we're talking about. It's rumoured to be the debut single from Miss Kay's solo album due out this year. I say rumoured though, as last year we were treated to another leaked track called Fearless, but nothing came of it. Here's hoping this one's for real - Under Control has had a hell of a lot of spins on my iTunes since I located it on the web! HAWT!!!
