Dutch DJ/producer Tiësto has teamed up with Wolfgang Gartner for the release of his brand new single, "We Own The Night", a feature track on his forthcoming new mix album "Club Life - Volume Two Miami." The track features club favourite English singer-songwriter Luciana on guest vocals.

Taken from the official press release:
"We Own The Night" is a definitive dance music anthem; dedicated to the late night hours when clubbers and DJs burn with the stars and shine so bright. Tiësto and Wolfgang Gartner have created a masterpiece where a powerful instrumental is paired with perfect vocals for an epic result."

They're certainly not wrong - the track has smash written all over it. Take a listen to the original mix below.

"We Own The Night" is available today [iTunes]

The Sound of Arrows' excellent follow up to Into The Clouds, Nova, will be released in the UK at the end of this month. You mat remember my post about these wonderful Swedes back in late February... it's good to finally see the track get a release!

Also, I've just come across the Tiësto remix of the track which takes Nova to new heights - very, very impressed, which is why I'm dedicating today's [REMIXED] post to it.
Whilst there is no Australian release listed as of yet, visit The Sound of Arrows digital profile online today [ITUNES]

Katy Perry's forth single to be lifted off the Teenage Dream album is ET. The track has already had success in Australia reaching #5 on the ARIA Singles Chart and achieved platinum sales status (>70,000 copies sold).

Written by Perry, Dr Luke and Max Martin, the track has been compared to TaTu's All The Things She Said. Random if you ask me - I don't hear it.

The global EP release sees a Kanye West remix added, as well as remixes by Benny Benassi and Tiësto; and is scheduled to be released over the coming weeks. The music video will feature the Kanye remix, and will be directed by Floria Sigismondi (who directed the music video for Christina Aguilera's 2006 single Hurt).

Anywho. Take a listen. I actually love the Kanye remix - much better. It's a very clever move by Perry... I wonder if it'll give her a forth #hit in a row on the Billboard chart...?

Enjoy.

Heard this before? Hell yeah. Tiësto and Diplo first treated us with the instrumental number (titled C'mon) in mid 2010. Now, fast forward to 2011, introduce Busta Rhymes and you're ready to blow your eardrums to one of Summer's biggest club hits.

C'mon (Catch 'Em By Surprise) is racing up the ARIA Club Chart faster than Paris Hilton's knickers fly off (ok, so maybe not that fast). In fact, as of this week it's at #7.

Get ready to hear this one a lot over the coming months!

I've obviously been asleep for a few months, otherwise I'm not sure how to explain how I missed this.

Dido featured on the Sex and the City 2 soundtrack with this number, Everything to Lose. Now it's not the fact that I missed this track being released, or even being produced for that matter, as it's pretty so-so. It's the fact that the one and only Armin van Buuren came along and sex'd it up a bit.

Let's face it, whilst everyone* loves Dido, her vocals seem to mesh much better against some slammin' progressive house beats. Take what Francois K did to Hunter, or what Above & Beyond did to Sand in my Shoes, or what Johnny Vicious did to Here With Me. I digress.

*everyone being ya Mum.

Everything to Lose really isn't, or wasn't, a great track 'til AvB got his hands on it. It now will find a warm little place in my current playlist, in between Tiësto's remix of The Island by Pendulum and the original mix of Take Over Control by Afrojack feat. Eva Simons. Nice.
