Earlier today I talked to my soft spot for Benny Benassi, and how surprised I was that I actually liked something Chris Brown put his name too. Well, the collaboration between the two gentlemen that I've found myself engaged in is Beautiful People, Brown's official single from his F.A.M.E album.

Beautiful People sees the once unilkely couple (although since the David Guetta-Black Eyed Peas combo a few years back it's no longer a surprise to see house DJs working with hip-hop/R&B artists) get together to produce a electro house / pop number that has already found itself inside the ARIA top ten here in Australia.

And the video - it features a range of footage taken from personal recordings of Brown with his entourage (dance crew The Rejectz) and cameos from various recording artists including Timbaland, Estelle, Pharrell, Diddy, Brandy and more. Whilst it's lurverly seeing all his peeps, the video is pretty bo-ring. Go ahead and watch though, as the track is good! Enjoy.

Benny Benassi has dropped the video for his latest single of his 2010 album, Spaceship. The track, titled Cinema, features the vocals of UK pop star Gary Go.

Cinema may not be as strong and captivating as it's predecessors (the title track, Spaceship, which featured Kelis, apl.de.ap and Jean Baptiste; and Electroman, which featured T-Pain), but on saying that I still rate it. I've actually had a bit of a soft spot for Benassi since Satisfaction in 2002... my God, that was nearly 10 years ago.

Speaking off having a soft spot, who'd have thought that I'd like something Chris Brown put his name to, but alas, his recent collaboration with Benassi is a good piece of music. Of course I'm talking about Beautiful People, the latest single off Chris Brown's F.A.M.E album - I'll give you more on that track soon.

For now, enjoy Cinema.

And Kelly Rowland is back!

Whilst you may say "she never left" - well she did, actually. If we go back to 2010 Kelly presented us with a fresh collaboration with David Guetta, otherwise known as Commander. It was a massive track (clearly, as it made my top 20 singles of 2010), and paved the way for what we assumed was going to be a great album release.

Umm, not the case. In fact we're still yet to see an album!!!

Kelly then delivered the singles Rose Coloured Glasses [VIDEO] Grown Woman [AUDIO] and more recently with Lil Wayne, Motivation [AUDIO]. Let's not forget her collaboration with Nelly, Gone [VIDEO]. Ugh. All tracks sound like they've been pulled out of some b-side album disposal from 2002.

(Ok, there was Forever and a Day which was good - I'll give her that! [VIDEO])

Hello? R&B and Hip-Hop has moved on people. No longer are we swinging our hips in a dirty R&B club to the likes of TLC or SWV (don't get me wrong - love those bitches); we're grinding our hips to something jacked up by Benny Benassi, Afrojack or of course, David Guetta. R&B and Hip-Hop music has taken a turn, and a turn for the better.

So before I go on a tirade about the David Guetta Apocalypse, let's move to Kelly's latest collaboration with Alex Gaudino - What A Feeling.

Alex came back to us last year with the track I'm In Love (I Wanna Do It) [VIDEO] -- another great song that made my Top 100 of 2010 -- a standard yet awesome house number that did quite well globally. Riding the success of that, he's employed the beautiful Miss Rowland to provide vocals on his new single.

What A Feeling is similar to I'm In Love (I Wanna Do It) in the fact it's another feel-good house number that'll have gay boys and dancing girls on podiums alike. It'll be a massive success in Europe (just 'cause), but unsure it'll do the same here in Australia - unless of course commercial radio jump on it. Let's wait and see.

The video is being filmed as we speak, but for now, enjoy the audio below. I love it - I'll be spinnin' this one for a while. Enjoy!

No word on a local release date as of yet, however visit Alex Gaudino's digital space to keep track of his release [ITUNES]

NB: I ain't no Kelly hater, in fact I love the girl - that is my dilemma! :)

Katy Perry's forth single to be lifted off the Teenage Dream album is ET. The track has already had success in Australia reaching #5 on the ARIA Singles Chart and achieved platinum sales status (>70,000 copies sold).

Written by Perry, Dr Luke and Max Martin, the track has been compared to TaTu's All The Things She Said. Random if you ask me - I don't hear it.

The global EP release sees a Kanye West remix added, as well as remixes by Benny Benassi and Tiësto; and is scheduled to be released over the coming weeks. The music video will feature the Kanye remix, and will be directed by Floria Sigismondi (who directed the music video for Christina Aguilera's 2006 single Hurt).

Anywho. Take a listen. I actually love the Kanye remix - much better. It's a very clever move by Perry... I wonder if it'll give her a forth #hit in a row on the Billboard chart...?

Enjoy.

Yes, seriously.

Over the last few years Kelis has had her share of ups-and-downs in the music world, you'd agree. Everyone remembers her hot debut Caught Out There (off her album Kaleidoscope) and her mega smash hit Milkshake (off her album Tasty); but sadly, Kelis seems to be forgotten in some places on this earth with her recent delivery - the Flesh Tone album.

Don't get me wrong, we love Kelis' earlier stuff. Caught Out There was an anthem for a whole range of genres with the "I hate you so much right now" lyrics being screamed from a variety of gay boys and indie-pop junkies alike.

The same with Milkshake - it was heard on the lips of anyone and everyone who wanted you to know that they brought their milkshake to the yard. I know I certainly brought mine, hell yeah.

But let's talk Flesh Tone. Written and produced by David Guetta with help from Benny Benassi, Tocadisco, Jean Baptiste and Boys Noize; you'd wonder what could possible go wrong. Apparently, a lot!

Acapella was released as the lead single. It is full of Guetta's signature thumpin' beats; Kelis' rough, sexy vocals; fit with one of the hottest videos of this decade. For me, it's one of the best songs of this year - easily top 5. Chart performance? Meh. It barely touched the sides, apart from the UK where it reached the top 5.

I'm talking about what should have been a mega smash here people! What's wrong with the world - THIS SONG IS AMAZING.

Anyway.

Acapella was followed with 4th of July (Fireworks), and as of now, Scream. Both are great tracks, however the "rumoured" forth single, Brave, is what I'm waiting for.

Short summary - the album is an ass-moving, leg-shaking, heart-thumping, smile-making must for anyone wanting to pump more than Shania Twain when they're running around vacuuming half naked (it works for me anyway). Do yourselves a favour and buy it.

You can watch the video for Scream below. And, if you're really up for it, it also comes in a 3D version on Kelis' VEVO page on YouTube.

Enjoy my people. Much love.
