I love this chick. And when I say chick, I mean girl. And when I say girl, I mean child. This chick/girl/child is hella talented. 10 year-old Willow Smith, simply known as Willow, just has the goods. Seriously though, with parents like Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith, it's hard not to be bloody talented.

Willow's debut single released late last year, Whip My Hair, was a global success. It reached the top 20 in the US, Canada and Australia (achieving platinum status in the US and Australia), and reached #2 in the UK. Willow's follow up single, 21st Century Girl, has the potential to mirror that performance, and the video just premiered over the last few days.

21st Century Girl sees Willow take a route down the pop road, vs Whip My Hair which was a little more R&B. It's a "cute" track... and I mean that with no disrespect to the 10 year-old. It's definitely something you could see Willow sing (or Miley Cyrus for that matter), vs something you would see Beyonce come out with. Like I said, no disrespect. It's actually refreshing to see a 10 year-old sing something a little bit more age-applicable, and not talk about grinding some pole somewhere.

Video highlight: the wolves. Love 'em. Woof.

You could be forgiven for thinking you were watching an episode of Babylon 5 if you saw Lady Gaga's presence at he 53rd Grammys. The current Born This Way campaign saw Gaga arrive in a pod-like coccoon down the red carpet, with her then performing the lead single on stage.

A few quick points you should note about this performance, and potentially what we're going to see from Miss Alien herself in the coming months:

+ Miss Gaga is sporting some new bone structure from parts of her body, specifically her cheeks and shoulders. Expect this to be the norm from today forward. You have been warned.

+ We have some hair-whipping action. I suspect Willow and Gaga have spent some time together over the past month sharing a bit o' chorey. We'll see Willow with extra bones next, you just wait.

+ The dancers seem to be sporting some kind of androgynous look. I'm assuming they were born that way. So, maybe we will see Gaga supporting both genitalia after all. Hmmm.

Anywho - I know there are a lot of haters out there at the moment about this song (because they could do so much better - pft), but you know what... I love it! Sure, it didn't grab me as much on the first listen like Bad Romance did, but hey, who cares? Born This Way is a great pop song, with an equally great message... so how about the haters get off their horses and enjoy the frickin' thing.

Whilst I can't post the video here, check out the information and full video via The Hype Now.

Well, kinda. The below is a video mash-up by some dude (that's the technical term) by name the of Mec Jagger. The mash-up contains Willow's version of Whip My Hair (sound) against Sesame Street's I Love My Hair (visual). It works, it's funny, and it's definitely worth a post.

And, considering Willow won't let me embed Whip My Hair on my blog (rude, just rude); it seems like the right thing to do. Post this mash-up instead that is.

You can watch Willow's offical video for Whip My Hair here.
You can watch Sesame Street's official video for I Love My Hair here.

Enjoy!

Video stills from Whip my Hair, Willow.
FIERCE.

There is really not much more to say about Willow Smith, daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith. You would have heard (almost everywhere) about the upcoming single release, Whip My Hair. If not, you're not gay enough.

The just-turned-10-year-old is signed to Jay-Z's record label, Roc Nation, and is signed/known as Willow. The track, which leaked on the internet some months ago now, was performed on today's episode of Ellen (video below) to a roaring crowd.

Get a hold of this one peeps, 'cause whether you like it or not - Willow is in the house, and she ain't goin' anywhere 'til she is a global success.
