America's country-pop sweetheart Taylor Swift has collaborated with folk duo The Civil Wars on her latest single "Safe & Sound." The track is a promotional release taken from the soundtrack of the science-fiction film The Hunger Games.
The release originally hit airwaves late December, and we must admit, posting about the track slipped right through our fingers. Swift sounds so comfortable in this genre - her soft vocals highlighted so well we seem to wonder why she hasn't ventured into the indie-folk-pop space more often.
The video, which was posted online a few weeks ago, features Swift looking effortlessly gorgeous as she floats through the woods and a following cemetery.
"That's one of my favorite moments in the video," shared Swift with MTV. "There's this wide shot where I'm just crumpled up, sitting on a gravestone. And it's actually the grave site of a couple who lived, and died, in 1853."Watch the full clip below.
