American singer-songwriter Eric Turner has revealed his latest single "Dancing In My Head," vs Swedish powerhouse DJ Avicii. Whilst Turner has a few tracks under his belt, he's best known for for his work with UK's Tinie Tempah on his global hit "Written in the Stars."

The track is an uplifting dance track with Turner's recognisable vocals and Avicii's unmistakable beats. Overall, a good piece of work that'll will probably do quite well club-wise. Check out the full clip below.

Grammy nominated Swedish DJ Avicii has released the video for his sleeper club track, Levels.

The track, which samples Etta James' Something's Got A Hold On Me, has also been sampled in two other recent chart hits - Flo Rida's Good Feeling and Taio Cruz's Hangover. Read more about it here.

Levels has already reached #1 in Avicii's homeland, as well as top ten in multiple European countries, including #4 in the UK. Last week in Australia the track debuted at #45 on the ARIA Singles Chart, after spending a number of weeks at #1 on the ARIA Club Charts.

Earlier this year Swedish DJ Avicii was caught in a very public battle with UK popstar Leona Lewis over the use of a sample from the DJs track Penguin for the singers single Collide. After a number of Twitter messages and out-of-courtroom discussions, Lewis' Syco label released the Collide single as a joint venture, "Leona Lewis / Avicii"

Weeks later after all the drama the single debuted at #4 in the UK and slowly but surely, disappeared dismally out of the charts.

Avicii went on to release a vocal edit of the original Penguin track, re-titled Fade Into Darkness. Whilst the track peaked at #4 in his Swedish homeland, it failed to do much elsewhere (reaching a measly peak of #196 in the UK).

Move forward a few months and I feel like we have a case of deja vu.

US rapper Flo Rida has just premiered the video for his new single Good Feeling, the lead from his upcoming fourth studio album Only One Rida (Part 2). The single features a typical Flo ensemble - the Florida native jamming in his In The Ayer kinda way, with a female vocalist belting away in the chorus (insert here Wynter Gordon/Ke$ha/Nelly Furtado/etc).

Where's the deja vu? Flo's Good Feeling samples Avicii's current hit, Levels.

Levels, which samples the Etta James classic Something's Got a Hold On Me, is Avicii's latest house number which has been circulating clubs worldwide for a number of weeks, maybe months now. Search over the ARIA Club Charts and you'll see that the track is sitting pretty at #1 in Australia, and has been for a few weeks.

So, does Flo have Avicii's permission this time or do we expect to see another Twitter battle of who owns what??? Who knows!

And of course, an even bigger question... which track do you prefer more? Take a listen to both and let me know via the comments section below.

Both Levels and Good Feeling are available digitally today [iTunes]

After a very public match of who said what on Twitter, it seems as though the record companies supporting Leona Lewis and Avicii have finally come to an agreement on the debacle that was Collide vs Penguin (Fade Into Darkness).

Listen to Collide here.

On the 16 August Avicii tweeted:
"We've finally come to an agreement with Leona on all the issues. So happy to move on and focus on hit making!" Followed by: "Glad to FINALLY have resolved situation with Leona. Music is the answer!"
This essentially means he was paid a lot of money for the track, as well the right to have his name up in lights on the cover. We don't really care here, as long as the track gets released.

Listen to the Collide remixes here.

Collide was sent to commercial radio stations today and it slated for a digital release globally 4 September [iTunes]

Winner of the 2006 X Factor series in the UK, Leona Lewis, has premiered her new single on BBC Radio 1, a track titled Collide.

The number, written by Sandy Vee and Autumn Rowe, showcases Lewis' unique vocal talents but displays a fresher side to her pop career as she moves away from the heart-broken ballads we've heard her do so well. The single samples Swedish DJ Avicii's track, Penguin [LISTEN]

Without releasing too many details behind the much anticipated third studio album from the English beauty, it has been confirmed that Lewis has worked with the likes of Ne-Yo, Claude Kelly and Ryan Tedder (of OneRepublic) for the release. In an interview with Hackney Citizen, Lewis described the album as "more progressive", "more eclectic", "more uptempo" and "a bit darker".

Take a listen to Collide below and prepare yourself for the upcoming video and digital release (iTunes release date set for 4 September).

I've been meaning to get this post out for a while now. You see, I wanted to get a Remixed post up some time ago, but every time I'd go to do it I'd get distracted and end up writing about something else. Or... get stuck playing Words With Friends on my iPhone. Or... craving a Campos coffee. Or... watching the lights flicker in the sky. Ohhhh... pretty lights.

Where was I?

Remixed. That's right. The Remixed post will be an opportunity to pay homage to the great remixers of this day - Freemasons, Cahill, Bimbo Jones, Dave Aude, Armin van Buuren, Kaskade, David Guetta, Avicii, etc. I could go on and on, but you catch my drift.

You see sometimes an artist will release a track and it's nothing short of pure brilliance. It needs no adjustment, in fact, it's just dandy the way it is. Sample: Dirty Talk, Wynter Gordon [VIDEO]

Other times an artist will release a track and it's ok... but it's kinda missing something. Enter one of the said remixers and it's an instant jam! Sample: Finish Line (Freemasons Remix), Yasmin [VIDEO]

Then of course there are times where you're like - WTF? What a crap follow up to a previous brilliant song. Someone better do something here and KAPOW, before you know it the remixer enters and it's brilliant. Sample: Good Girl (Freemasons Remix), Alexis Jordan [VIDEO]

See what I mean?

So, here we have it. Today's Remixed entry is for the only other great American Idol, Jennifer Hudson (the only other in comparison to Kelly Clarkson that is). J Hud returned to us with her second studio album only last week - matching the #2 placing for her debut record with I Remember Me.

The R Kelly penned Where You At was released as the lead single back in February. Whilst it's a good song reminding us that J Hud's power vocals are those to rival Queen Bee Whitney Houston, the track received mixed reviews and barely made an impact on the Billboard Hot 100 (peaking at #64).

For today's post, enter Dave Aude and KAPOW - gay boys are twirling all 'round San Francisco to this number. Aude's mix provides Houston Jnr's soulful vocals with that extra bop that gives the number the needed boost. Now don't get me wrong, I love the original, but the remix gives me the best of both worlds!

So, you get to enjoy both too. Below is the original and Aude's remix as well. Enjoy!

Where You At (album version)

If you're a regular reader of my blog you'll know how much I adore Nadia Ali. The ex-iiO singer went solo a number of years back, releasing her debut album Embers in 2009. Embers is by far, one of my favourite albums of all time. Nadia's beautiful vocals weave in and out of electronic beats that make you yearn for love and want to groove all at the same time. Throw in the fact that she is a Middle-Eastern Goddess and BANG!

Ok, lost focus. Where was I?

Back to music. In 2010 Nadia set out to release three remix albums under the common title, Nadia Ali: Queens of Clubs, each with a different gemstone representing each version (first: Ruby, second: Onyx and third: Diamond). On the second album Nadia revisited a favourite number of mine, Rapture, originally performed as part of iiO in 2001 (my God - ten years ago!).

Rapture has been remixed by Avicii and is aptly titled Avicii's New Generation Mix. I love the fact it has "New Generation" in the title as it's totally true. We have a new generation of young party goers that get to embrace the warmth of Nadia's vocals on what is clearly one of the best and biggest club tracks of all time. Generation X clubbers finding dark corners at 5am with Nadia whispering "mi amore don't you know, my love I want you so..." Ahhh, to be young again.

NOT.

Rapture (Avicii's New Generation Mix) is starting to get club play in Australia, and I expect globally very, very soon. Listen out for this one - it's gonna be big!

Purchase Rapture (Avicii's New Generation Mix) digitally now [ITUNES]

Tim Berg is a (another) Swedish house DJ, however most of you out there would probably know him by his other stage name, Avicii. The 21 year old (yes, he's that young) has been around the professional DJ scene for a few years now, however it's this year that he's managed to score European chart success with two tracks - My Feelings For You and Seek Bromance.

My Feelings For You, as a collaboration with Sebastien Drums, is an old Cassius track from 1999. You'll remember Cassius from their club favourites Cassius 1999 (1999); and The Sound of Violence (2003).

Seek Bromance takes Avicii's instrumental Bromance track (2009) and slaps in the vocals from the Amanda Wilson collaboration with Italian DJ Samuele Sartini called Love U Seek (2010).

I love, love, love Seek Bromance - and it seems as though Aussie DJs are right behind me. The track has just bulleted into the top 20 on the ARIA Club Charts last week... so stay tuned, I think you'll be hearing more of this across Summer - woo hoo!

I've posted the new clip for you below, enjoy!
