[FRESH RELEASE] Lady Gaga // Judas, The Remixes Pt 1

It's all stops Lady Gaga at present! As well as Hair, Gaga's Born This Way album track available as part of the current countdown to the May 23 release; Judas The Remixes Pt 1 was also available for purchase as of today.

This EP features mixes by Goldfrapp and Hurts. Other known official remixes out there are by Chris Lake, John Dahlback and R3HAB - so we can only assume we're going to see a Judas The Remixes Pt 2 sometime soon.

[FRESH RELEASE] The Sound of Arrows // Nova

The Sound of Arrows are Swedish duo Oskar Gullstrand and Stefan Storm, and you may know of them via an amazing remix they did of Lady Gaga's Alejandro back in 2010.

For those of you who haven't heard of the boys from Sweden - mix a bit of Pet Shop Boys, with a little Hurts and add a dash of The Similou's All This Love [YOUTUBE]. Nova is the follow up track to the boys 2009 single, Into the Clouds. It's a fresh, male-pop-fantasy... something there is clearly not enough of if you ask me.

Very excited about these boys! I don't know much about them yet, but I can't wait to hear more. 2011 may just be another year of some beautiful, beautiful music.

KYLIE MINOGUE AND HURTS HAVING A (KINDA) AFFAIR

 Just recently Kylie Minogue herself featured on BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge where she performed Get Outta My Way, All The Lovers, Can't Get You Outta My Head and the latest Hurts track (I have been blogging about obsessively), Wonderful Life.



Now, I seem to think Miss Minogue and my boys from Hurts may be trying to tell us something via their musical love for each other...

You see, Kylie performed Wonderful Life as mentioned above; but if we backtrack you'll find that Hurts covered one of the best songs of all time, Confide In Me, for The Sun not too long ago... and if you go beyond that you'll also discover the sexy number performed by Hurts featuring Miss Minogue, which features on their debut album, titled Devotion.

Hmmm. What a web of musical adultery. Absolutely fucking love it.

Oh it's a Wonderful X Factor

I've blogged about these boys before, but yes, I do think Hurts are one of the next best and biggest things about to hit the airwaves/shores/iTunes libraries.

The boys from Manchester were on the German X Factor last night and performed their hot new single, Wonderful Life. The track, which has been high on my playlist for a few weeks now, is just brilliant - and very reminiscent of an early Depeche Mode.

X Factor - Hurts - Wonderful Life von Clipfish

OH IT HURTS ALRIGHT, IT HURTS SO GOOD

Hurts are a British duo arriving from Manchester, who as of this week, have just released their debut album Happiness in the UK and Europe (date set for 10th September in Australia - iTunes link here for preorder).

I've managed to get my hands on a copy of the album and I'm very, very impressed. The band remind me of a 2010 version of Depeche Mode. The synths are there. The sexiness is there. And the great tracks are certainly there.

The boys, Theo Hutchcraft and Adam Anderson, also feature our very own Kylie Minogue on one of the album tracks, Devotion.

Their lead single, Better Than Love, was released in the UK and across Europe earlier this year... however it's their second single to that same market (lead single in Australia), Wonderful Life, that really grabs my attention.

iTunes Australia has this single featured as the free single of the week get it here! I've included the video for you below to judge yourself, but I'm warning you now - keep your eye out for these guys. Impressive!
