THE PRESETS RETURN WITH "YOUTH IN TROUBLE"

Australian electro duo The Presets have confirmed that their new album "Pacifica" will be available from September 14, 2012. And yes, we're very excited.

What's got us in an even better place this Friday evening is that the boys have just revealed the lead single from their new LP, the track "Youth in Trouble." Listen to the first taste of their new stuff below.

PREVIEW SNEAKY SOUND SYSTEM'S "FRIENDS" (PLASTIC PLATES REMIX)

Australia's favourite dance-pop outfit Sneaky Sound System are preparing for the release of "Friends," the fourth single to be lifted from their third studio album "From Here To Anywhere."

One of the mixes to surface from the upcoming remix package includes a mix by Los Angeles-based Sydney DJ Plastic Plates. Take a listen to the revamp below... it provides an awesome sexy house trip on the original thumpin' number.

PREVIEW (AND DOWNLOAD) VAN SHE'S "JAMAICA" (PLASTIC PLATES REMIX)

Sydney indie-pop outfit Van She's latest single "Jamaica" has been given a revamp by the crew from Plastic Plates, and now you can get your hands on the mix for free.

If the track wasn't already sexy enough, Plastic Plates pump up the future hit making it almost impossible to stop playing over and over and over. Take a listen to the mix below.

[VIDEO PREMIERE] JORDIN SPARKS & WHITNEY HOUSTON "CELEBRATE"

The video has premiered for "Celebrate," the lead single to be lifted from the motion picture soundtrack for "Sparkle." The movie, which stars the late Whitney Houston, is based on the 1976 film of the same name, inspired by the story of the The Supremes.

Jordin Sparks, who plays the lead, duets with Houston in "Celebrate," one of her last recordings. Watch the full video below. We love the t-shirt Sparks wears towards the end of the clip... RIP Whitney.

[VIDEO PREMIERE] LANA DEL REY "NATIONAL ANTHEM"

America's new princess Lana Del Rey has premiered the video for the latest smash from her "Born To Die" LP, "National Anthem."

The clip, directed by Anthony Mandler (Cheryl's "Call My Name," Rihanna's "California King Bed"), features Del Rey play the roles of Marily Monroe and Jacqueliene Kennedy (Jackie O) and rapper A$AP Rocky play the role of John F Kennedy.

Mandler tells MTV:
"You see why I held back on talking about it; I didn't want to spoil anything. Anytime you're dealing with the American Camelot of the Kennedys, you're dealing with a packed powder keg," he said. "And really, what Lana was trying to do — this was her concept, she came to me with it, and I kind of dug it out with her — was really look and explore an archetype; just like Shakespeare wrote 'Romeo and Juliet,' and that became the archetype of the forbidden love story."

MIKA RETURNS WITH "CELEBRATE" FEAT. PHARRELL WILLIAMS

British singer-songwriter Mika has revealed the lead single from his upcoming third studio album "The Origin Of Love," the track "Celebrate" feat. Pharrell Williams.

The upbeat single was co-penned by Mika and Williams, and produced by Australian music-mastermind Nick Littlemore (from Pnau and Empire of the Sun). Take a listen to the future hit below.

[VIDEO PREMIERE] MAROON 5 "ONE MORE NIGHT"

Maroon 5 have premiered the video for the Max Martin and Shellback produced "One More Night," the second single to be lifted from the band's fourth album "Overexposed."

The video, directed by Peter Berg (who directed the action-themed films "Battleship" and "Hancock") features frontman Adam Levine play the part of a boxer, seemingly with a few family issues. Actress Minka Kelly plays Levine's wife in the clip.

[VIDEO PREMIERE] ELTON JOHN VS PNAU "SAD"

Elton John vs Pnau have premiered the video for "Sad," the second single to be lifted from the much-anticipated album "Good Morning To The Night."

"Sad" features elements of the following John tracks:

- Crazy Water
- Curtains
- Sorry Seems To Be the Hardest Word
- Friends

The eight-track album will be available from July 27 in Australia and you can view the complete tracklist here.

The clip essentially features the young broad looking glamorous playing the drums. Although, there are a few shots that incorporate a good ole wind machine. Really, what more do you need when the music speaks for itself?

LISTEN TO NEW MAROON 5 WITH "ONE MORE NIGHT"

American pop-rock group Maroon 5 have premiered "One More Night," the second single to be lifted from their latest album "Overexposed." The track follows the current single "Payphone" feat. rapper Wiz Khalifa.

The track was co-written and produced by Max Martin and Shellback... so you can almost guarantee the band have themselves another chart-topping hit. Listen to the track below.

[VIDEO PREMIERE] KATY PERRY "WIDE AWAKE"

California girl Katy Perry has revealed the video for "Wide Awake," the final chapter from the "Teenage Dream" era. It marks the eight single to be lifted off the multi-platinum selling album (including the repackaged version).

The video plays out like a gothic fairytale, with a young Perry accompanying her older self through an enchanted maze, fighting monsters and punching a handsome prince in face. Just a regular day in the office, really.

New Yorker Wynter Gordon has premiered the video for the Nick Littlemore (of Pnau) co-penned "Still Getting Younger," the four single to be lifted from her outstanding debut album of the same name.

The video was directed by Dan Eckman and sees a playful Gordon and her lover embracing their youth in the form of water pistols and water bombs. Watch the full clip below.

Swedish powerhouse DJ Avicii has premiered the video for "Silhouettes," his current club smash. The track features Swedish pop star Salem Al Fakir on vocals.

Scottish DJ Calvin Harris has revealed the next single to be lifted from his yet-untitled third studio album, the track "We'll Be Coming Back." The future hit features British singer/rapper Example on vocals.

Harris sure has been a busy boy of late - "We'll Be Coming Back" follows his last single "Let's Go," a collaboration with US R&B singer Ne-Yo; his production work on Cheryl's latest jam "Call My Name" and the Scissor Sisters "Only The Horses," and his remix of Florence + the Machine's current single "Spectrum."

LAWSON DEBUT WITH SINGLE "WHEN SHE WAS MINE"

Four-piece band Lawson have launched into 2012 with their debut single "When She Was Mine." The group, which hail from various parts of the United Kingdom, currently reside in London.

The track, in all it's pop-rock glory, is easily one of the catchiest songs on radio today. We might even go as far as saying the song is actually quite refreshing (as are the boys on the eyes, they're certainly not the ugliest band around are they!)

The group's debut EP also includes an acoustic version of the track "Red Sky," which you can also get for free via the guys official website.
