Well, well, well... hasn't Mr Peter Gene Hernandez, aka Bruno Mars, been busy in 2010!

He's featured on some of the biggest numbers this year - Nothin' On You by B.o.B, and Billionaire by Travie McCoy. He's also co-penned some of the biggest numbers this year - Fuck You by Cee Lo Green, and Right Round by Flo Rida.

Not to be content with that above, Bruno has just released his debut album, Doo-Wops and Hooligans. The album features the global smash hit Just The Way You Are and his latest single, Grenade.

Just The Way You Are went to #1 in over eight countries, including the big markets - US, UK, Canada and Australia - and Top 5 in another eight. His follow up single, Grenade, looks like it may also provide Bruno with some very well-deserved recognition again, as it bullets it's way into the top 20 of the US, Canadian and Australian markets.

A bit of trivia for you - did you know that young Peter received the nickname Bruno by his father as a child as he was a chubby boy, and there was a chubby wrestler at the time called Bruno Sammartino? Fact!

To quote a great girlfriend of mine "Bruno sounds like a young, raw Michael Jackson" - and I couldn't help but agree. The similarities are there in the voice, the emotion and the definite early signs of success of this rising star. Whilst Just The Way You Are was a great song, for me Grenade is superb. Love it, love it, love it.

Doo-Wops and Hooligans is out via iTunes Australia now. Do yourself a favour and purchase it.

Tim Berg is a (another) Swedish house DJ, however most of you out there would probably know him by his other stage name, Avicii. The 21 year old (yes, he's that young) has been around the professional DJ scene for a few years now, however it's this year that he's managed to score European chart success with two tracks - My Feelings For You and Seek Bromance.

My Feelings For You, as a collaboration with Sebastien Drums, is an old Cassius track from 1999. You'll remember Cassius from their club favourites Cassius 1999 (1999); and The Sound of Violence (2003).

Seek Bromance takes Avicii's instrumental Bromance track (2009) and slaps in the vocals from the Amanda Wilson collaboration with Italian DJ Samuele Sartini called Love U Seek (2010).

I love, love, love Seek Bromance - and it seems as though Aussie DJs are right behind me. The track has just bulleted into the top 20 on the ARIA Club Charts last week... so stay tuned, I think you'll be hearing more of this across Summer - woo hoo!

I've posted the new clip for you below, enjoy!

Is there anything Ri-Ri-Rihanna can't do???

Only 2 weeks ago Rihanna topped the Billboard Hot 100 with What's My Name (featuring Canadian rapper Drake), the second single to be lifted off her BRILLIANT album, Loud. Whilst Only Girl (In The World) was released somewhat 3 months ago and failed to hit the #1 spot, after the performance at the most recent American Music Awards, RiRi rebounds back up the charts to claim RiRi her ninth Billboard #1 hit!

WOW - this girl is on FIRE!

The official chart is released today, but here is Billboard's annoucement of the chart-history making Rihanna.

Her mind-blowing performance at the AMAs is below - enjoy!

It's here!

Taio Cruz feat. Kylie Minogue, Higher, has just landed on the 'net. The video features Miss M looking sexier than ever, oozing all over the back seat of a very swish car. She looks hot in her little black number, fo' shiz. Me like!

Oh yeah, Taio is also in the clip. Yeah he looks ok.

The track has been swimming around the top 40 on the Australian iTunes chart in the last week, so expect to see it debut (hopefully) in the top 50 this coming Sunday when the ARIA charts are launched.Woo hoo!

One of the best tracks from Kelis' OUTSTANDING album Flesh Tone has been released as the forth single - Brave. Behind Acapella, this song one of the strongest on the album.... a definite favourite of mine.

The video, as good as it is, has received some not-so-great reviews online - however I like it. I think the simplistic approach actually works for the track. I like. I like a lot.

Hope you all enjoy.

Well, kinda. The below is a video mash-up by some dude (that's the technical term) by name the of Mec Jagger. The mash-up contains Willow's version of Whip My Hair (sound) against Sesame Street's I Love My Hair (visual). It works, it's funny, and it's definitely worth a post.

And, considering Willow won't let me embed Whip My Hair on my blog (rude, just rude); it seems like the right thing to do. Post this mash-up instead that is.

You can watch Willow's offical video for Whip My Hair here.
You can watch Sesame Street's official video for I Love My Hair here.

Enjoy!

Whilst some of us are still basking in the beauty that was Cut Copy's last album, In Ghost Colours, it's hard to believe that the album that debuted at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart, was released over two years ago. How quickly time flies, and how amazing are summer days when you're rocking out to Lights & Music on the beach...

Anywho. Fast forward to now, actually to February 2011, and Cut Copy will release their much-anticipated third album, Zonoscope. The title and cover art (left) were launched a few weeks ago; however today I have the pleasure of introducing you to the official lead single off the album, Take Me Over (cover below).

The track was uploaded to Modular People's soundcloud account a couple days ago, and this week, was also released digitally in Australia (purchase on iTunes here).

I'm hearing hints of Fleetwood Mac (the track Everywhere I think), with a little bit of synth and disco-pop. I personally love it, and can't wait for the album. I'm just a little disappointed I have to wait 'til after summer to hear it!

As a side note, some of you are probably lucky enough to see the boys headlining the St Jerome Laneway Festival in February 2011 across Australia. I missed out on tickets, so I hate you if you are going to see them.

Enjoy the track, and don't forget to tell me whether you love it as much as I do!

You can tell by the lack of OOMPH in my title that I'm not overly happy/impressed/joyous about this one. I can't even call this post a 'premiere' as the clip has been online for days now. I'm just really not even sure how to deal. Someone please pass me a valium.

So... Kylie Minogue has released the video for Better Than Today. And maybe I'm being a little bit harsh. The clip is actually o-k. It's no Get Outta My Way, but it's ok. Lots of singing and dancing and microphone-swinging (which we saw on her X Factor UK performance last week).

But yes, I'm a little sad. Why the hell didn't she release a better track? I can tell you now this is going to do zilch on the chart front. But hey, who am I? Just some in-the-know, God-damn-spunky, great-blog-writing music fan. Who clearly has no idea.

There is only one way Kylie can make this up to me - by releasing tickets to her concert now and giving me the best tickets ever. Like Gold Class. But for her concert. Fingers crossed.

I think you'd all agree that the Black Eyed Peas new single, The Time (Dirty Bit), is seriously one of the dodgiest songs they've ever produced. I get it - will.i.am is on this total electro power crusade and you have to admit that their previous album, The E.N.D, was a bloody good album. I Gotta Feeling was the highest selling single of the last decade people, you can't ignore that.

But going back to The Time (Dirty Bit), I just don't know that they've hit the mark. Granted, a hell of a lot of Australian's disagree with me, as last week the song bulleted from #10 to #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart. As if we didn't expect it, but did it deserve it...? Maybe not.

Anyway. I digress. The video premiered today, and so I bring it to you. I actually like it to be honest. It has the 'party' vibe, their little avatars make an appearance (you may have seen them on the cover of their new album), and it features lots of pixelation of certain people/objects in the video (on purpose, don't freak).

So does it change how crappy the song is? No. Does it make the song a little more bearable? Maybe. Will we continue to sing it because it features that song from Dirty Dancing? Hell yeah.

Tell me what do you think!

Seriously, I swear Kylie Minogue's management and record company are out to get her. They can be forgiven for releasing All The Lovers as the lead single off Aphrodite (but only just). It is a good track, with it's easy-pop chorus and awesome video clip.

What they can't be forgiven for is releasing Get Outta My Way, remixes and all, weeks and weeks after the hype of the bloody song (causing it to be one of her worst charting singles ever). And, Get Outta My Way clearly has one of Kylie's best video clips of all time.

AND NOW, what they can't be forgiven for AGAIN is announcing that Better Than Today is the third official single off the album.

WHAT THE FUCK?

Yeah alright, the Nerina Pallot penned track is ok. It's a little different with it's kinda country techno vibe, but seriously guys, there are a million better tracks on the album worth releasing.

Cue: Put Your Hands Up (If You Feel Love) written by Australia's own Nervo twins. Or Cupid Boy written by Luciana and Sebastian Ingrosso (of Swedish House Mafia). Or even Too Much penned by Jake Shears (of Scissor Sisters) and Calvin Harris for fucks sake.

BUT NO, THEY WANT TO RELEASE BETTER THAN TODAY. SEND KYLIE TO THE REAR END OF POP CHART HISTORY WHY DON'T YOU PEOPLE. FUCKING HELL!

Thank God Bimbo Jones was hired to do a fucking remix. That's all I have to say.

It's not often that I'll post about a video clip, and not necessarily a song. However with Keri Hilson's new track - Pretty Girl Rock - the video clip is definitely the star.

Whilst the song is ok, it's a little bit more I Am... Sasha Fierce-reject than something that should be all about blowin' the airwaves in 2011. Alas, the video clip may just save the day.

The clip features Keri starring as iconic ladies throughout the years - firstly in the silent 20s, right through to Keri as herself today. There is a couple of tributes in the clip too...  Janet Jackson and TLC being two of them.

Like I said, the song is so-so; but the clip is very cool. Enjoy.

Have you heard this yet? Is that a no? So I wasn't the only one hiding under a rock then apparently.

The very, very gorgeous Wynter Gordon has released the video for her new track, Dirty Talk. Now whilst I'm calling it a "new" track, I just discovered today that it's actually been around since the beginning of the year. How did I miss this one?

Dirty Talk is making some pretty serious noise in Aussie clubs at the moment, and I can't seem to imagine why with lyrics like... "I am no angel... I like it when you do that stuff to me"

Whore. I love her.

This better get picked up by radio and become a mega smash or there's gonna be trouble. I love it. I love it. I love it.

In case you're wondering where/how you know the name of this ebony beauty, Wynter appeared with Flo Rida on his 2009 single Sugar; and more recently was featured on the Freemasons track Believer (which I posted a few weeks ago, here).

Look out for this girl, I have a funny feeling we'll be hearing a lot more from her!

So let me get this straight (ha, first and last time I'll say that!) - if you don't already luuuuuuurve the trashiness that is Ke$ha, why are you even reading my blog? For a starters the girl has class. Yes, it may the be the class of an under-age homeless New York hooker, but she has class. The girl also has fluro. The girl luuuuuuurves her fluro.

I'm getting side-tracked. My point being, if you didn't already love Ke$ha you should now. Her latest single, We R Who We R, which landed at #1 in Australia, Canada and the US; and which I previewed for you all WEEKS before it even hit the airwaves (see original post here if you don't believe me - so there); was performed by Princess Trash Ke$ha on Monday's elimination round of X Factor Australia.

The performance was BRILLIANT. Ke$ha ripped up her stockings, she played some kinda of guitar/bassy thing (ok, so you know what I mean), and she looked trash fierce. AND in case you didn't notice the dancing soldiers in TIGHTS AND HIGH HEELS, the video for you is below so you can relive the show. Yes, they are BOYS in tights and high heels.

FARKING HAWT. Can't wait for her shows in Mach '11. YES - they're on sale tomorrow, here's the link for the Sydney shows!

Enjoy! I'm going to watch the clip again.

Yep, she is back!

I'm talking about the 19 year old that stole the heart of many in the industry, claiming two very important Grammy's in 2009 (Best New Artist, and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance); as well as many, many nominations for celebrated awards globally.

Her debut album, 19, reached #1 in her homeland in 2008 and achieved double-platinum sales. In addition to that it spawned four top 20 singles, the most successful being Chasing Pavements which peaked at #2.

She has been compared to the queens of soul, stating her influences are the likes of Etta James and Ella Fitzgerald. I'm talking about the beautiful, elegant and mesmerising Adele.

In January 2011 Adele releases the follow up to her debut album, titled 21. Whilst not much has been said or heard of the long-awaited album, Adele confirmed via Digital Spy -
"It's different from 19 - it's about the same things but in a different light..."
"...I deal with things differently now. I'm more patient, more honest, more forgiving and more aware of my own flaws, habits and principles - something that comes with age I think."
Realistically, if Adele's song-writing ability, which is demonstrated on 19, is anything to go by the album is going to be amazing. And, just in case you thought otherwise, Adele has also confirmed she's working with Red Hot Chili Peppers collaborator Rick Rubin and Florence and the Machine cohort Paul Epworth.

Brilliant!

So, the lead single has been leaked online - see below for Rolling in the Deep. A sassy, jazzy number with a hell-of-a-lot-a soul attached to it. In my humble opinion of course. And as a plus, the video has studio footage of Adele recording.

Stay tuned for more album news when I get it, enjoy for now.

Daz - this one's for you :)

One-third of the infamous Swedish House Mafia, Axwell, has been tempting our little booties with this number for a while now. Well my bootie anyway, it's beena-shakin' non-stop to this track.

Anyway.

In his latest solo production, Axwell employs the vocals of Errol Reid (think Feel the Vibe from 2004, before it had the revamp with Tara McDonald's vocals in 2005). It's a typical Axwell vibe - good beats that make ya shake (see above paragraph for evidence of my booty-shakin'), and good lyrics/vocals that you can sing-a-long to (for evidence of that, you should listen to me in the shower. I sound awwwwwwesome).

The clip, well, ummm, not sure. I don't really get it. There's a guy. He meets other guys. They go out. They dance. And then, well, he leaves. Maybe it's meant to be that simple. Hmmm. Maybe I'm missing something. Watch it, and if I am, please tell me!

Much love, enjoy.

Yes, I'm talking about Your Song - the Elton John number that brings me to tears every time I hear it. Now, just in case I had anything left in those dry little tear ducts of mine, the beautiful Ellie Goulding covers the track.

Bless. Oh, bless.

The track is the lead single from the re-release of Ellie's debut album, titled Bright Lights (out now - buy it!)

In case you're wondering who-the-hell this beautiful starlet is, read my post a few weeks ago, where I've also posted the video for my (now second) favourite track of the album, Guns and Horses.

Yes, I'm talking about Your Song - the Elton John number that brings me to tears every time I hear it. Now, just in case I had anything left in those dry little tear ducts of mine, the beautiful Ellie Goulding covers the track.

Bless. Oh, bless.

The brilliant Sarah McLeod (ex-Superjesus legend) covers Bruce Springsteen in Dancing in the Dark. The track is stripped-back and completely remade over and I have only one word to say...

WOW

Well done Sarah. I bloody hope radio picks this up, as it's been a long time coming. Sarah is a great Australian artist who unfortunately hasn't had the solo success she deserves. Whilst she remains a favourite on the club scene, the commercial market seems to forget her!

In addition to the brilliant, stripped-back version above; Sarah has uploaded a a few remixes on soundcloud.com - my favourite being the Sgt Slick remix. Hot! And it seems as though the club scene here agrees with me, as this week Dancing in the Dark has just bulleted up to #11 on the ARIA Club Chart.

Take a listen and let me know your thoughts!

Ok, so I've been a bit quiet over the last week or so. And yes, I've got all your text messages/emails/phone calls/faxes/page messages stressing your concern over my where-abouts. Ok, I may be exaggerating a tiny bit. Let's just say I've been pre-occupied, but I'm back!

First up we have the video premiere of Rihanna's lastest installment, What's My Name, featuring Canadian rapper Drake; which I first published a couple of weeks ago.

I love this track. It's different to Only Girl (In The World); different in the fact that it sounds more ethnic/true to the original sound we heard way when she first released Pon De Replay in 2005. It's got a great sexy beat to it that essentially makes hip-moving very, very easy.

The clip is set in downtown New York City, a little different from the country-side in which Only Girl was filmed. Whilst the scenery may have changed, Ri-Ri is still looking God-damn-fucking-hot. I don't care what ANYONE says, I heart the red hair.

Enjoy peeps.

I've obviously been asleep for a few months, otherwise I'm not sure how to explain how I missed this.

Dido featured on the Sex and the City 2 soundtrack with this number, Everything to Lose. Now it's not the fact that I missed this track being released, or even being produced for that matter, as it's pretty so-so. It's the fact that the one and only Armin van Buuren came along and sex'd it up a bit.

Let's face it, whilst everyone* loves Dido, her vocals seem to mesh much better against some slammin' progressive house beats. Take what Francois K did to Hunter, or what Above & Beyond did to Sand in my Shoes, or what Johnny Vicious did to Here With Me. I digress.

*everyone being ya Mum.

Everything to Lose really isn't, or wasn't, a great track 'til AvB got his hands on it. It now will find a warm little place in my current playlist, in between Tiësto's remix of The Island by Pendulum and the original mix of Take Over Control by Afrojack feat. Eva Simons. Nice.

There's not a lot not to like about this track - the ever brilliant Swedish House Mafia (Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso) team up with another great UK export (one whom Australia is really yet to recognise if you ask me), Tinie Tempah.

The tune is Miami 2 Ibiza, and it's BIG. It has the beats and feel that makes SHM's One (Your Name) hot, and Tinie's vocals/rap that set it off. Clubs across Australia (and the globe actually) are floggin' this baby more than that dirty horse that won last weeks Melbourne Cup.

Miami 2 Ibiza scored Tinie yet another top 5 track in his homeland, following the success of his previous singles Frisky (#2), and Pass Out and Written in the Stars feat. Eric Turner, both of which went to #1. This gives the boys from Swedish House Mafia their first top 5 hit in the UK. Additionally, the track is starting to make some waves on the ARIA charts here locally.

It's also the third single from their album, Until One (released a few weeks ago), following Leave the World Behind with Laidback Luke feat. Deborah Cox and One (Your Name) feat. Pharrell.

My wrap up - I lurve this track. I've been floggin' it all mornin' (the track thanks, keep it clean you filthy bastards). Hope you like.

Yep, she's gonna do it. Debut at #1 that is.

By now you would have heard Ke$ha's latest installment to her musical reign of pop-trash-power, We R Who We R, especially if you read my blog about it 3 weeks ago. According to Billboard, the track will debut at #1 in the Hot 100 today/tomorrow - the 17th track in the history of the Billboard charts to do so.

Over here in the land of Oz, we're expecting the same when the ARIA charts launch this coming Sunday. We R Who We R has been at the top of the Australian iTunes chart since Saturday, which will give it enough digital sales in the reporting week (Friday through Thursday) to lock in the coveted position. Of course I could be wrong, but hey, I doubt it.

The track is taken off Ke$ha's Cannibal EP, which is slated for launch late November. Cannibal can purchasing on it's own, or as part of a combo-deluxe deal with Animal. Think what Gaga did with The Fame / The Fame Monster. Yeah, same deal.

Miss Pop-Trash-Power herself has actually been busy this week, as she's also tempted us with another offering from her Cannibal release, titled Sleazy. Check out the video below to give it a listen. Busy, busy, busy girl!

Alex Gaudino has been climbing up the ARIA Club Chart with this track now for a few weeks, and I have to admit I've been singing-and-dancing to this one in the mornings (bad image, sorry) for some time now.

To refresh your memory, Alex Gaudino is the Italian DJ who brought us Destination Calabria in 2007 - a mash up of Rune's Calabria and Crystal Waters' Destination Unknown, both originally released back in 2003. The track was nothing short of a success, reaching top 3 in Australia, the UK, and many countries throughout Europe.

Following that Alex employed Shena on vocals for his next club smash, Watch Out, which features soccer-uniform-clad girls playing it out on a typical Ministry of Sound (MoS) video clip.

(Note: have you noticed that trend with MoS' video clips? All the decent club tracks will have chicks in barely nothing and/or bikini's dancing/playing/stretching/sexying it up. Take Eric Prydz's Call On Me for example. Here, see what I mean - thanks very much).

Back to Alex. His latest track I'm In Love (I Wanna Do It) has just reached the UK top 10, is doing similar things in Europe, and as I mentioned earlier is picking up club play here in Australia. It definitely has that summer party sound to it, so expect that you'll see/hear more of this one around.

Enjoy!

A few posts ago (read: like 2 weeks ago) I provided some juicy little music, that of which is Higher by Taio Cruz, with added sultry vocals of none other than Miss Kylie Minogue.

The track, which will be lifted off the International Edition off The Rockstarr Collection, will be Taio's next single, and as of yesterday we were treated to a lyric video added on YouTube (below). It's just another tease if you ask me, as we know Taio & Kylie are filming the clip as we speak, according to her Twitpic (above)!

Hurry up and release it already!

Anywho, enjoy the clip. At least now you'll know all the words when it hits Aussie radio.

Shots have just been released from Katy Perry's shots for the December edition of Harper's Bazaar in line with an exclusive interview with the new Mrs Brand.

Katy sure looks fiiiiiine in the shoot - take a look and judge for yourself!

A few weeks ago I alerted y'all to Nicole Scherzinger's next attempt at solo success. The ex-Pussycat Dolls babe is trying, again, to mimic the global chart success that she managed to achieve with the girls.

In the video for new new track, Poison, where if I must say she does look fiiiiiiiine, Nicole plays a super-hero-kinda-warrior-woman-spy. Throw in a couple of costume changes, a little bit o' chorey, and voilà - you have her new video. Is it great? No. Will the track do well? Meh. Maybe. Do I love it? Yeh, probably.

In other Nicole Scherzangerawanyaujljlter news, she has just signed on to play a villan in the new Men in Black III movie! Apparently we see her die. Oh well.

Enjoy the clip!

Ok, so I know this has been 'round for a few weeks now, and I have to admit I didn't like it at first, but Nelly Furtado's latest track - Night is Young - is finally starting to grow on me.

It's a catchy pop tune (though it's no Promiscuous)... the video clip is ok (though it's no Maneater)... alright, so it just passes.

The track is the lead single, and one of three new tracks, to be taken off Nelly's best of compilation out in a few weeks - titled The Best of Nelly Furtado (cover to the left). The standard edition features 17 tracks, including all of her best numbers.

Take a listen to the track below, share your thoughts!

Video stills from Whip my Hair, Willow.
FIERCE.

There is really not much more to say about Willow Smith, daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith. You would have heard (almost everywhere) about the upcoming single release, Whip My Hair. If not, you're not gay enough.

The just-turned-10-year-old is signed to Jay-Z's record label, Roc Nation, and is signed/known as Willow. The track, which leaked on the internet some months ago now, was performed on today's episode of Ellen (video below) to a roaring crowd.

Get a hold of this one peeps, 'cause whether you like it or not - Willow is in the house, and she ain't goin' anywhere 'til she is a global success.

HAWT, FUCKING HAWT.

Now tell me that RiRi isn't gorgeous. I dare you.

The above shot is taken from her Marie Claire UK shoot for their December edition. All shots, and I mean ALL, are just beautiful. Bless 'er.

Read the article and check out all the shots here. I'm warning you now, you may suffer and/or die of pure-orgasmatic-pleasure due to how amazing she looks.

(Ok, so that may be a little dramatic...)

And while the iron is hot, strike!

Rihanna's second helping from her new album, Loud (which is released in a week or so); has hit Australian radio and iTunes this week.

The track, titled What's My Name feat. Drake, has a bit more of a hip-hip/R&B feel to it... but I suspect it'll be another top 10 hit for her. I've noticed it's already crawled it's way into the iTunes top 20 here in Australia (gee, we don't waste any time do we? LOL).

The video has been shot, so I suspect it'll be out in a few weeks. Stay tuned as you know I'll bring it to you before anyone else!

In the interim, have a listen to the track and tell me your thoughts!

Ok, so call me gay (again) I know, but everytime I listen to this song I feel a little tingle inside. Katy Perry has hit the nail on the head with this one, and you can pretty much guarantee she's going to have another worldwide smash hit with it.

Firework is the third single to be lifted off the Teenage Dream album. I gave you all a sneak peak of the video with the single cover a few weeks ago, however I now have my hands on the complete video (below).

And, hot off the press - well from Katy's Twitter page anyway - she tweets...
"I am officially dedicating my new video to #itgetsbetter, because everyone has the spark to be a FIREWORK."
In case you're wondering the It Gets Better Project was set up in response to the bullying and suicides of LGBT teenagers across the globe. You can see and hear inspiring videos of people from all walks of life, including President Barrack Obama, actor Zachary Quinto and many more - including other members of the LGBT community. The projects now boasts over 100,000 supporters!

To view videos visit the It Gets Better Project website.

Last week I reviewed Brooke Fraser's latest (and greatest) album, Flags. It's still rotating quite heavily on my iTunes playlist, and I'm proud to say I know the words to almost every song now - LOL. It really is a great album, have you listened to it yet? Hmmm?

Anywho - New Zealand's most precious export has just announced her Australia tour dates, woo hoo! According to Brooke's official website, she hits Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and Sydney from the 22nd - 29th January. Tickets go on sale Friday 5th October, via Ticketmaster.

To see the video for her latest single (and most successful to date), Something in the Water, visit my original entry about Brooke some weeks ago.

Well it's been a week or so since I've blogged (apologies team), and gee has a lot gone on!

Princess Robyn premieres the video clip for her latest installment, Indestructible, off the final part off her Body Talk series (final album cover below). The track will be the third single lifted from the three-part showcase, and most of you would recognise it as an acoustic version featured on the Body Talk Pt 2 album.

A few weeks ago I gave you a preview of the Max Sanna & Steve Pitron remix (still bloody hot if you ask me), and also the single cover when it was launched.

I love the drinking straws (you'll see, watch the clip) - I'm picturing queues of people at local supermarkets everywhere trying to create the same outfit. Well, maybe not, but I still love it.

Climbing up the global charts faster than than Miley Cyrus can rip off her panties, Far East Movement feat. The Cataracs and Dev are really making waves with Like a G6. The track has just landed at #1 on the Billboard charts this week, and is climbing fast into the ARIA top 20 in Australia.

The group have been around since 2003 and have released five studio albums to date, however it's only now have they hit commercial success with Like a G6. The song has been on the airwaves for a few weeks, however only of late has it found it's way really implanted in my head.

If their success in the US is anything to go by, I'm predicting this'll rise to the top here as well. Keep your eyes on it. Enjoy the clip below.

Well it certainly is the week for new music! Taio Cruz is about to re-release his Rokstarr album, repackaged with a lovely remix of the track Higher, featuring none other than our very own Ms Minogue.

Their version of the track was leaked online this week - a link to soundcloud below. I much prefer this version, even if they've essentially auto-tuned the hell outta Kylie's vocals. Oh well. Looking at the success that Taio has had in Australia so far with the previous singles, I'm expecting this'll be another chart smash for him.

Two weeks ago I heard from a very reliable source that the Black Eyed Peas were releasing a follow up to the 2009 global smash album, The E.N.D, titled The Beginning. Further sources have confirmed that The Beginning will be released late November.

The lead single from their new album was leaked online yesterday, titled The Time (Dirty Bit). Now you'll either love it or hate it, as it samples (I've Had) The Time Of My Life originally sung by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes, take from the soundtrack to the movie Dirty Dancing.

Hmmm. Not quiet sure what to make of it myself. I love Fergie's vocals (as always), but it sounds a little too "hard" for me. Odd, as I was expecting something a little more "pop" from the Peas. Anywho, I wonder if my Aunt will dance around ironing to this version of the song like she did to the original in the late 80's...? Only time will tell...

Dutch hottie Eva Simons (of Silly Boy fame) teams up with fellow Dutch sensation, Afrojack, for their new track - Take Over Control. The song has already found success in their native land, is climbing up the US club charts, and it's making itself known across the Australian club scene quicker than I can get a beer in my hand on a Friday.

In the last few days the video was launched on the Ministry of Sound YouTube page. After viewing the video I see a slight resemblance to none other than Ri-Ri-Rihanna with that red hair and gorgeous skin tone... your thoughts?

I love the track (according to my iTunes play count), but let's see if Australian radio stations will do it any justice...

So most of you by now would have heard Adrian Lux's Teenage Crime. After spending somewhat of an eternity in the club scene (ok, so maybe the last 6 months or so - close enough) it's now found it's way into the commercial market, with radio stations across Australia picking up the track.

It's been rotating in my iTunes for some time, although I've only just been blessed with the Axwell & Henrik B Remode which for me, is pure bliss. Not sure why it's taken me so long to come across it - take a listen below, taken from Axwell's YouTube page.

On another note, I've just stumbled upon the video for one of his earlier tracks, Can't Sleep. Another great club song, and I gotta say there is something about the clip that I like... I'll let you watch it and figure it out ;)

Enjoy.

A few weeks ago I posted an article about one of New Zealand's best exports - Brooke Fraser. Brooke's third studio album Flags was released last week... and yes, it lives up to expectations.

The album kick starts with the lead single Something in the Water, which is a catchy pop song that commercial stations will like, funnily enough with just a little taste of country in it. Don't let country tab alarm you however, it ain't no Taylor Swift (thank God) as it works and definitely adds something a little extra to the track.

Betty (co-written by Switchfoot's Jon Foreman) is another catchy tune that you'll be singing in no time; as is Coachella (one of my favourites), which reminds me a lot of Lifeline off the What To Do With Daylight album. Either of those tracks could be released as singles and they would do well both on radio airplay and chart wise.

Another stand out for me is Who Are We Fooling? which features UK artist Aqualung. Great vocals, and for me I hear a different Brooke to which we've heard before. Crows & Locusts reminds me a lot of Australia's own Bertie Blackman - a little haunting, yet utterly superb.

And Jack Kerouac makes you feel like someone has thrown a little UB40 into the mix, reggae style 2010. I wasn't a fan of it originally, however as I write this listening to the track I've noticed I'm almost shimmying in my seat. Guess that means it's grown on me.

Overall, Brooke has delivered. Her vocals, writing and overall production of the album has matured, and for nothing but the better. Don't get me wrong, there is certainly nothing wrong with her previous albums, in fact Albertine is an all time favourite for me; however Brooke has grown and I love what I hear.

In the last week Flags has debuted at #3 on the ARIA Albums Chart - her highest placed album in Australia so far - and #1 on the RIANZ Albums Chart in New Zealand.

Flags is available via iTunes now.

Well the new stuff just keeps on rollin' on in...

Ke$ha has literally just released her new track to radio. Titled We R Who We R off her new album, Cannibal (to be released in November), Ke$ha informed Entertainment Weekly that she was inspired to write to song in response to the recent gay bullying which has led to teen suicides in the US.

I'm pretty confident the track will follow the success of her first four smash hits off her debut album Animal, and no doubt place in the top 10 again globally.

On a side note, great news about the album is that Ke$ha has been working with the very talented Dr Luke and Max Martin on some of the new tracks!

Listen to the track below. I'll have more information on the video clip and album when I can! Enjoy.

Ex lead Pussycat Doll, Nicole Scherzinger, is set to launch her new single in late November.

This'll be Nicole's second attempt at solo chart success, considering her last efforts seemed to flunk the charts globally. Whatever U Like was Nicole first solo single (released in 2007) feat. TI. The track essentially did no more than brush the rear-end of the Canadian charts (and that's it). Her second single, Baby Love feat will.i.am had what you would call moderate success in the UK and Europe.

Really though, Nicole hasn't had a successful solo career to start off with - so let's just ignore both of those tracks and focus on her new, fresh and pumpin' release - Poison.

Produced by RedOne (who has more famously worked with Lady Gaga on some of her biggest and best songs), the track is an infectious, thumpin' track that *should* do Nicole some justice on the solo career front. It's catchy, easy to sing-along to (with or without your hairbrush as a microphone), and you can just imagine Nicole swingin' those hips around in some scantily-clad outfit in the video. Kinda hot if you ask me.

Check it out below and let me know your thoughts. More news to come as soon as I get it!

Well here it is people, the video premiere for Rihanna's latest single Only Girl (In The World).

The video was directed by Anthony Mandler, long time colleague and video director of Rihanna (he's directed 15 of Rihanna's video clips so far, including this one!).

Personally, I love it! Share your thoughts...

Seems like it was only a day ago that I was talking to you about Robyn and her next single, Indestructible... oh that's right, 'cause it was. You heard it here first - Robyn will releasing Indestructible as her third and final single from the Body Talk album series.

Posted on her Facebook profile just minutes ago:
The third and final installment of the Body Talk trilogy is approaching! Indestructible will round off Robyn's single releases for the year at the end of November! More album info is coming very soon, stay tuned!
Pow! All I can say is, can't wait for the next album. Additionally, if the Max Sanna & Steve Pitron remix of Indestructible is anything to go by, I can't wait for the full remix list as well.

I don't have anything else to say except much love. Fucking gorgeous.

Fancy that. Who'd have thought that the Freemasons would keep producing hands-in-the-air numbers that party-goers worldwide (like y'all) would love? Hmm?

Me. That's who.

The official video for the latest Freemasons track - Believer featuring the beautiful Wynter Gordon - has been released. It's a typical video from the boys with flashing lights, pretty girls and lots of camera tricks. Did I mention Wynter is beautiful in this clip?

Now grab your nearest sista and swing those arms girrrrrrrlfriend. Enjoy.
