Finally! Armin van Buuren premieres the video for one of the best tracks off his 2010 Mirage release - Feels So Good featuring Nadia Ali on vocals. The song is slated to be the fifth single off the album.

The only thing I'll say is - too late! This clip should have been out months ago. Boo.

The boys from Swedish act The Sound of Arrows are back with their new single, Magic. Whilst the song itself it not actually new (it was originally recorded in 2009 and released on their M.A.G.I.C EP), it's had a brilliant video created in time for it's European re-release in early August.

Without giving too much away I'll let you know that the video is fun and playful - it will definitely put a smile on your face.

Coldplay have premiered the video for their new single, Every Teardrop is a Waterfall. The upbeat pop/rock track was one of the many new songs I heard for the first time whilst overseas... in Paris actually. Ahh, that feels like a lifetime away.

Anyway. The video is bright, colourful, and doesn't make you want to slash your wrists - always a nice change from what the band normally produce. Enjoy.

US singer/songwriter Christina Perri has finally taken Australia by storm. Her debut single, Jar of Hearts, has been released locally and here, locals love it. The track this week bulleted into the top ten on the ARIA Singles Chart, and currently it sits at #2 on the iTunes Singles Chart.

Jar of Hearts, written by Perri herself and songwriters Drew Lawrence and Barrett Yeretsian, peaked at #17 on the Billboard Hot 100 last May. Elsewhere globally, it's been pretty quiet for the 24 year old who originates from Philadelphia.

If you're a lover of Avril Lavigne, Kelly Clarkson or even early Alanis Morissette - Christina Perri is for you. Jar of Hearts was written by Perri about an ex who wanted to rekindle a past relationship. Now ladies, we all know that's a no-no. Just listen to tracks like Since U Been Gone by Ms Clarkson, or You Oughta Know by Ms Morissette.

Jar of Hearts is available digitally today, and Perri's debut album lovestrong will be released in Australia in July. Elsewhere globally, it's available today [ITUNES]

French DJ David Guetta has released the video for his hit single Where Them Girls At, which features Flo Rida and Nicki Minaj on vocals.

What a video - the clip features random people infected with what I can only assume to be Guetta Fever - a mystery dance virus spread via bubbles tainted with Guetta's uncontrollably infectious grooves. That, or they've all been infected with some crazy monkey virus and the world will end in the next 28 hours.

In other Guetta news, his latest single has been unleashed on the Australian public - the track Little Bad Girl featuring Taio Cruz and Ludacris on vocals. Both singles are lifted of Guetta's fifth studio album, Nothing But The Beat (to be released globally late August).

Following on from the global success that is Party Rock Anthem, LMFAO hit us with their latest single - Champagne Showers, featuring none other than fellow label-mate Natalia Kills.

The track has already gained significant airplay in Australia (coming in at #3 on the Most Added to Radio this week). Additionally this week it debuted at #26 on the ARIA Singles Chart. Elsewhere worldwide it debuted in the top 50 in the UK and top 10 in New Zealand.

In the video the boys, RedFoo and SkyBlu, continue with the shuffling zombie madness as they're lured into an underground lair. They meet Kills and her band of shuffling zombies and of course there's lots of ass grinding, body pumping and zombie loving madness.

Will it manage the super performance of Party Rock Anthem with its ten-week stint at #1 here in Australia, earning it a 5x platinum status? Maybe not, but it sure will provide some great global coverage for Ms Kills - always a pleasure.

The third single from Pitbull's Planet Pit album is Rain Over Me, featuring the vocals of Mr Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony. The track follows on from the worldwide smash Give Me Everything featuring Ne-Yo, Afrojack and Nayer.

Rain Over Me is another RedOne produced number that sounds a lot like a bad Eurovision entry. I'm sure I can hear Denmark belting out backing vocals, whilst Ukraine are dancing half-naked in the video clip. Oh wait, is that Greece making out with Marc Anthony?

I digress. Apart from actually sounding like Eurotrash, it's actually ok. Take a listen below.

Chris Brown has released the official third single off his F.A.M.E album in Australia - the old school R&B ballad, She Ain't You.

Now before you go "ahhhh" or "ohhh" - it's not that kinda ballad. He's already with some bird and now he's decided he wants his ex back. But, he's still with his current bird "just having sex" according to the lyrics. Shifty, shifty, shifty.

The track samples one of my favourite tracks of the 90s, Right Here (Remix) by SWV [VIDEO] which samples Human Nature by Michael Jackson [VIDEO]. Coincidentally, Brown dedicates the video to Jackson, in which he attempts to pull off Jacko choreography in the clip.

Following on from the collaboration with Benny Benassi, Beautiful People, this old school jam should see Brown maintain some commercial success. Currently the single is in the top 40 singles charts in Australia and the US.

Teen superstar Selena Gomez, alongside her band The Scene, have released the second single off their third album, When The Sun Goes Down. The track, Love You Like a Love Song, follows the anthem Who Says.

As you would know Who Says is the bands attempt at a liberating track similar to Katy Perry's Firework, Ke$ha's We R Who We R, etc. Is it a great song... ummm, lets just say it's unoffensive. Love You Like a Love Song however, is BRILLIANT.

LYLALS (see, I've already shortened it to something sassy so y'all know what I'm talkin' 'bout) is a Rock Mafia produced track that really hits the nail on the head. It has an unforgivably addictive chorus that locks you into a pop trance so before you know it, you're bopping away singing the track at the bus stop.

In addition, the video is quite cute - it features Selena at a karaoke bar singing on stage and featuring in some of the bad generic Asian videos. I don't ever remember sounding that good at karaoke though...

Love You Like A Love Song and When The Sun Goes Down are released in Australia on 1 July. Elsewhere worldwide, they're available digitally today [ITUNES]

Australian duo, Pnau (Nick Littlemore and Peter Mayes) are back with Solid Ground - the second single to be lifted from their fourth studio album Soft Universe, released late July.

The track follows The Truth, and is another electro-pop gem that will please fans old and new alike.

I'm very excited about the boys new album, and even more so about the fact that I'll be seeing the boys play at the Enmore Theatre in July here in Sydney. Tickets are still available online, so jump on in and buy some! See you at the gig [ENMORE THEATRE]

Something I've been very excited about is new Darren Hayes material. The ex-Savage Garden singer/songwriter has released his new single, Talk Talk Talk, which will be taken off his fourth studio album (Secret Codes And Battleships) released later this year.

The track is co-penned and produced by Carl Falk (think Don't Hold Your Breath by Nicole Scherzinger); and is a very radio-friendly, dreamy synth-pop, instantly-likable track. Whilst I was clearly impressed on first listen, after a multitude of plays on my iPod/iPhone/iMac/car stereo (ahem), it continues to grow further on me each day.

As an added bonus, the digital package available worldwide last Friday includes the b-side Angel - a cover of Madonna's 1985 single (taken from her Like A Prayer album). It's an awesome accompaniment. And, it may or may not have better vocals than the original. Just sayin'.

Will this single provide Hayes the global chart success he deserves? Let's hope so! He's definitely due for some chart lovin' in Australia.

Well done Australia, you've just given the talented and very beautiful Adele her first official #1 single with Someone Like You, as the track bullets to the top spot on this week's ARIA Singles Chart.

Australia follows only New Zealand and the UK to have given Adele a top selling single with the track; however it's predecessor, Rolling In The Deep, has enjoyed the top spot in almost ten countries worldwide - inclduing the US. Rolling In The Deep currently sits at #4 in Australia, peaking at #3 two weeks ago.

Adele now holds the top single and album spots in this great land; with double-platinum status on 21, platinum status on Rolling In The Deep, and gold status on Someone Like You. FINALLY. It's been a long time coming.

Britney Spears has released the video for her third single from her Femme Fatale album, the Max Martin and Shellback produced track - I Wanna Go.

The video features Brit flash a man and his young son, fool around with a police officer, knock-out Terminator-like paparazzi and car dance in a bikini top. Just a normal day for Ms Spears really.

Actually, to be honest the clip is great. Like, really great. That would make three out of three for Femme Fatale as far as I'm concerned. Now the big question is - I wonder what Gaga thinks? Hmmm.

Ex-Girls Aloud team member Nicola Roberts has been teasing her fan base with a variety of snippets from her upcoming single, Beat Of My Drum, for some time now. Similar to Britney, Gaga and whomever else has taken on this new marketing tactic, it has caught the attention of most (so one would say it's been a successful tactic then!)

Whilst I was enjoying my long-awaited vacation Nicola debuted the full track, with complete video. For my first listen, I was pleasantly surprised. The Diplo produced track has a unique sound, simple yet impressive, and certainly slays Cheryl Cole's Promise This. Sorry Chezza, you can't help but agree.

A great offering and start to a promising solo career. Can't wait to hear more - Cinderella's Eyes, Nicola's debut album, will be released in October.

On a recent promo tour here to coincide with the release of her With The Music I Die album (officially released last Friday, 17 June); Australia's adopted dance diva Wynter Gordon treated fans to an acoustic cover version of Katy Perry's hit, ET.

Wynnie's vocals are smooth and sensual as she works her way through the US #1 hit, reminding all who doubted her of her ability to shine strip-backed. It's nothing short of a brilliant performance, period.

Additionally, she performed an acoustic of her Australian #1 Dirty Talk, which you can listen to via here [YOUTUBE]

Running alongside the release of her international fourth single California King Bed, Rihanna has released Man Down as her fourth single in the US. The single was confirmed in early May, with the video lauched via Rihanna's Vevo channel just recently.

The clip was filmed in Jamaica and with director Anthony Mandler (who has worked with RiRi on an impressive 16 of her videos, including Only Girl (In The World) and Don't Stop The Music). In an interview with MTV, Mandler says of the video:
"We shot the video last month in Jamaica and it's my favorite song she's ever recorded, so I was really excited to get involved. And it's just one of those songs that demands a strong narrative and visual, and let's just say she let me go all the way. So I think you can expect something that's dramatic and shocking and intense and emotional and uplifting and enlightening."
Take a look at the full video below.

Something I'm very happy about is the return of Sneaky Sound System. The Sydney based duo consisting of Connie Mitchell and Black Angus are back with their third album, From Here to Anywhere (due in August).

Back in 2007 the band cleaned up at the ARIA Awards for their 2006 eponymous release, taking home Best Dance Release and Breakthrough Artist. UFO, taken from that album and their most successful single to date (ARIA Singles Chart #11), still remains as one of my favourite tracks of all time.

Returning in 2008 with a much-anticipated release, Sneaky achieved their first #1 album aptly titled 2. The album spawned the successful single release, Kansas City (ARIA Singles Chart #14).

From Here to Anywhere is the first release with new record label Modular Recordings (home to other faves The Presets, Ladyhawke and Van She) and features the first single, We Love.

We Love has one of the cheekiest video clips I've seen in a long time. I won't disclose too much, but I'll let you know it includes lots of sexual innuendos - always welcome as far as I'm concerned! Watch the video below in full.

And for fans of the group, they're playing at the Virgin Metro Theatre on Saturday 2 July. For full details, including ticket information check it out online. I'll be there with my groove on, so I'll see you on the floor! [TICKET INFORMATION]

Super Bass, Nicki Minaj's fifth single lifted off her Pink Friday album, is proving to be her most successful to date. After premiering the video clip in early May, the track has steadily been climbing up global charts - as of last week the track achieved Billboard top ten status (her highest achievement to date). In addition it's achieved top 20 status in the UK and Canada, and top 30 status here in Australia.

One of my favourites from the album, it's great to see Super Bass earning Minaj the praise and respect she (rightfully) deserves.

Take a look at the video below - and I challenge you to count how many facial expressions she has! Love it!

It's hard to think that it was years ago (six in fact) that I fell in love with Be Mine! It was released as the first single off an album that now sits in my collection as one of the best albums of all time - Robyn's eponymous 2005 release.

Now, we get an opportunity to listen and love that song all over again, sampled in US electronic/rapper Rye Rye's latest single - Never Will Be Mine. The single will be the first off her debut album, Go! Pop! Bang!, to be released across the US summer.

It's a good working of the number, in fact, I'd even go as far as saying as I enjoy the track. The best part - Robyn features in the video!

London's bright young star, CocknBullKid, releases the fourth single of her debut album Adulthood this coming August. The track, Yellow, had it's video launch overnight.

Much like the rest of her sensational debut album, Yellow is an upbeat track with a great melody and catchy chorus.

The video is effective and fun. You see CocknBullKid (real name Anita Blay) keeps her stuff quite simple - no massive productions or budget required - with the end result better than what some artists are producing with their big budgets and big ideas.

Now all I ask is that someone grab hold of this in Australia and release the damn album already. I'd like to actually purchase it. Thanks very much.

Happy Monday people - and what a better way to start than with Katy Perry's fifth single to be lifted off her multi-platinum selling album Teenage Dream, Last Friday Night (TGIF).

After securing four Billboard #1 singles with California Gurls (feat. Snoop Dogg), Firework, ET (feat. Kanye West) and of course the title track, Perry shoots for another smash with one of the strongest tracks to be lifted off her second album. Creating an alternative persona by the name of Kathy Beth Terry, Perry invites us to play in the nostalgia of the 80s and 90s to relive our teenage years.

The campaign itself is nothing short of fantastic - Kathy Beth Terry it your typical high-school nerd complete with solar system wallpaper in her bedroom, full coke-bottle glasses and a wired-up braces set (ouch). In the video we see Terry/Perry live out a not-so-typical "Friday night".

The clip features Darren Criss and Kevin McHale (from Glee), Hanson, Kenny G (!), Rebecca Black, and Corey Fieldman and Debbie Gibson as Terry/Perry's parents. It's a whacky, fun and very clever video (and marketing campaign) that should see Perry land herself another Billboard smash hit.

Already, the single is sitting pretty at #6 in the ARIA Singles Chart here in Australia, with a gold certification (35,000+ copies sold).

Swedish Queen of Ultimate Cool, aka Robyn, has released the video for her latest single to be taken off 2010's brilliant Body Talk series, Call Your Girlfriend.

The video features Robyn dancing, singing and rolling around the floor (!) in an abandoned warehouse with a colourful lightshow, for nothing but effect of course. It's very simple, yet very effective. Actually, I think I've found myself loving everything Robyn does... clearly she can do no wrong.

One point though, I think we're ready for some new Robyn now. Let's get that moving. Thanks very much.

One of my favourite birds to come out of the UK in the last twelve months is Katy B. Her debut album, On A Mission, was released earlier this year to rave reviews. The dubstep princess has certainly delivered in my eyes, with tracks such as Katy On A Mission, Broken Record and Lights On featuring Ms Dynamite released as the albums first singles.

The fourth single to be released from her album is Easy Please Me, and features Miss B and her gurls playing a game of snooker (or pool, I don't know which one is which) in a pool hall; whilst stirring up some blokes. Yeah nice.

Easy Please Me and On A Mission are avaialble sigitally today - buy it! It's a must have for any record (!) collection in 2011 [ITUNES]

Australia's undisputed disco diva Zoë Badwi has unleashed her new video for her latest smash, Carry Me Home, a collaboration with TV Rock superstar Grant Smillie (who makes a  cameo in the clip at 2:08).

After releasing a preview of the track in early May (with the track ownership as Grant Smillie feat Zoë Badwi), we've had a change of plans and now Ms Badwi is seen as the tracks singer, with the title Carry Me Home (Grant Smillie Edit). Maybe Neon Records thought they'd get more pull from commercial radio with the change, no?
Let's just hope it makes a better impression of the market than Accidents Happen did, which peaked at #71 on the ARIA Singles Chart.

As a side note, if you take a listen to German popstars Sarah Connor's Carry Me Home (off her 2010 Real Love album) you may hear some similarities... hmmm...

Carry Me Home (Grant Smillie Edit) is available via iTunes today [ITUNES]

Whilst I'm busily trying to grab hold of everything that's happened in the music world over the past four weeks, queen of holy-pop-ness herself, Lady Gaga premieres the video for her third single to be lifted off the Born This Way album, The Edge of Glory.

Riding on the success of the original "promo" track (and the not-so-success of Judas), Gaga confirmed the sassy 90s number as her official third single in hope of regaining some of the chart spotlight she'd received with the singles off her Fame album(s). Has she done that? You be the judge.

The video for the track (which admittedly, is one of the best tracks off the album - although there are quite a few!) is actually quite simple in comparison to it's predecessors. It features Gaga dance on a fire escape and on a street/alleyway (somewhat reminiscent to Michael Jackson's Billie Jean, no?). Donning a very gay leather harness (maybe she's waiting for Folsom Street Fair) we see Gaga without her trademark prosthetics. Interesting... has she "grown" out of them already?

It's an interesting yet simple clip, and one that was clearly a little less in budget than those before. Do I like it? Of course I do, it's Gaga. But you?

I'M BACK!

After what seems like an eternity, I'm back from our whirlwind trip across the globe. And I mean, across the globe. In our travels we covered San Francisco, New York, London, Barcelona, Paris and finally, the champagne area of France (Epernay and Reims). Talk about venturing to some of the most amazing places in the world! Of course I could sit here and blog about our adventures all day... however if I did that I wouldn't have time for what you're really here for - and that is - music.

There are quite a few tracks that come to mind from our journey, however I'll mention just three that really stick in my mind (all from the European leg). Firstly, it would be Simple Plan's latest track, Jet Lag (fitting really). The Canadian pop/punk/rock group will release their fourth studio album in the coming months, and off that features this new single.

Now whilst the Australian and US markets are enjoying the track which features New Zealand born, UK resident Natasha Bedingfield; the Canadian and European markets have the pleasure of listening to a French-English version which features Canadian pop/rock artist Marie-Mai.

Of course I'd heard the Bedingfield version prior to taking our trip, however my love really falls for the Marie-Mai version. Her gorgeous voice with those French lyrics really compliments the track. It's a very catchy tune and one that we found ourselves singing and car-dancing to as we drove across the French countryside.

I've included the video for Marie-Mai's version. You can watch/listen to Bedingfield's version here [YOUTUBE]

Another track that caught my attention was a song released almost a year ago by Dutch singer/songwriter Loona. You may remember her from her collaboration with DJ Sammy on his massive club/chart hit The Boys of Summer in 2002.

The track is titled Vamos a la Playa (Spanish for Let's Go To The Beach). It's really nothing but pure pop trash, but after spending time in Barcelona and hearing it there - it was kinda fitting. Think a trashier version of Cascada and you have it.

Will it be a global success like The Boys of Summer? Ah, no. It's fun all the same.

And the final track I'll bring to your attention is by French pop singer/songwriter M Pokora, with his latest single - A Nos Actes Manqués (French for To All Our Mistakes). It's catchy, he's cute, and it kinda sounds like "I'll rape the monkey" in the chorus. Hmmm. It was definitely a crowd pleaser when you're screaming out "I'll rape the monkey" as you drive around Paris!

So there you go. Three tracks that will definitely stick in my mind and remind me of how absolutely-frickin'-awesome my race around the world was. Now, time to catch up on what's been happening in the music world... and boy, there seems to be a lot!

Dedicated to the love of my life, you know who you are x
