AVICII'S "LEVELS" VS FLO RIDA'S "GOOD FEELING" - YOU DECIDE!

Earlier this year Swedish DJ Avicii was caught in a very public battle with UK popstar Leona Lewis over the use of a sample from the DJs track Penguin for the singers single Collide. After a number of Twitter messages and out-of-courtroom discussions, Lewis' Syco label released the Collide single as a joint venture, "Leona Lewis / Avicii"

Weeks later after all the drama the single debuted at #4 in the UK and slowly but surely, disappeared dismally out of the charts.

Avicii went on to release a vocal edit of the original Penguin track, re-titled Fade Into Darkness. Whilst the track peaked at #4 in his Swedish homeland, it failed to do much elsewhere (reaching a measly peak of #196 in the UK).

Move forward a few months and I feel like we have a case of deja vu.

US rapper Flo Rida has just premiered the video for his new single Good Feeling, the lead from his upcoming fourth studio album Only One Rida (Part 2). The single features a typical Flo ensemble - the Florida native jamming in his In The Ayer kinda way, with a female vocalist belting away in the chorus (insert here Wynter Gordon/Ke$ha/Nelly Furtado/etc).

Where's the deja vu? Flo's Good Feeling samples Avicii's current hit, Levels.

Levels, which samples the Etta James classic Something's Got a Hold On Me, is Avicii's latest house number which has been circulating clubs worldwide for a number of weeks, maybe months now. Search over the ARIA Club Charts and you'll see that the track is sitting pretty at #1 in Australia, and has been for a few weeks.

So, does Flo have Avicii's permission this time or do we expect to see another Twitter battle of who owns what??? Who knows!

NICOLE SCHERZINGER REVEALS COVER FOR "KILLER LOVE" DELUXE EDITION

Nicole Scherzinger has unveiled the cover for the re-release of Killer Love, Deluxe Edition. The album originally released in the UK in March this year, will be available for purchase from 11 November and 6 December, in the UK and US respectively.

The re-release features the Nervo-penned new single Try With Me, plus the tracks Trust Me I Lie and Tomorrow Never Dies.

KYLIE MINOGUE TO BE INDUCTED INTO THE "ARIA HALL OF FAME"

This year our very own Kylie Minogue will be inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame at the ARIA Awards 2011 ceremony. Like the annual awards this year the petite singer, along with the actual awards themselves, will celebrate 25 years in the music industry.

Miss Minogue first burst into the scene back in 1987 with her debut single The Loco-motion. The track, which was a cover of the Little Eva song from 1962, reached #1 in Australia and became one of ten singles to do so in her outstanding career here in her homeland.

To date Minogue has released 51 official singles, eleven studio albums, nine compilation albums, four live albums, and eleven remix albums. Of those albums, three have reached the coveted spot in Australia and five in the UK.

Certainly no stranger to the ARIA Awards in her time, Minogue has collected sixteen awards including those with indie pop/rock singer Nick Cave for their release Where The Wild Roses Grow in 1996. In addition to those achievements the singing budgie also holds awards for other multiple ceremonies, including three BRIT Awards and a Grammy, for her 2004 single Come Into My World.

Phew - what a career. Like many other who will be celebrating her achievement on the night, I'm so proud of what our girl has accomplished. Kylie Minogue should be proud of her career, we are.

VH1 Divas celebrates soul with Jennifer Hudson, Florence + The Machine, Kelly Clarkson, Jessie J and more

The VH1 franchise VH1 Divas will return December 19 and will pay tribute to the cities where soul gave birth to music's most powerful classics and inspired today's divas.

Set to perform in the show is Mary J Blige, Jennifer Hudson, Jill Scott, Florence + The Machine, Kelly Clarkson and Jessie J. All the ladies will pay homage to these cities and soul music's timeless classics at New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom.

Madonna to perform new single, Give Me All Your Love, at next year's Super Bowl XLVI

Whilst there have been a number of rumours that legendary Madonna would perform at next year's Super Bowl XLVI in February, it seems as though this time (for a change) those rumours may actually hold some truth. According to Madonnarama the show is on!

Apparently Madge's new single, a Martin Solveig produced track titled Give Me All Your Love, will be premiered along with four other tracks.

According to the Madonnarama:

It’s not official yet, but Madonnarama can exclusively reveal that the deal is ON!
Madonna will be performing five songs at next year’s Super Bowl XLVI at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on February 5.

We can also reveal that she will be singing the very first single – a never-heard-before song co-produced by Martin Solveig – from her forthcoming album !

The track is called “Give me all your love” and it’s a very catchy tune.

The performance is supposed to include some heavy choreography with major cheerleading action! The cheerleaders are about to tumble, dance, jump and stunt while cheering some “M-A-D-O-N-N-A” in the stadium while she sings her new song.

Oh and that also explains one of William Orbit’s recent tweet…

Party is the sixth video to make it's way out of the current 4 campaign, do we expect to see more? Whilst Party is suited to the US market, I much prefer the previous two tracks to have videos published - Countdown and Love On Top.

Oh my. It seems as though RiRi lost her clothes somewhere. In the woods maybe? The forrest? Maybe in the Irish fields as she was filming her latest video for We Found Love?

JESSICA MAUBOY DROPS COVER FOR "GALAXY" FEAT. STAN WALKER

Australian pop star Jessica Mauboy has revealed the cover to the fifth single lifted from her Get 'Em Girls album (second from the repackaged LP), the Richard Vission co-produced duet with Stan Walker, Galaxy.

The album has spawned the singles Saturday Night (feat. Ludacris) and Inescapable, both of which have achieved double-platinum sales status, which peaked at #7 and #4 respectively.

Galaxy is slated for a digital release 28 October. More news to come about the video as it surfaces.

UK duo The Ting Tings have premiered the video for the second single to be lifted from their yet-untitled upcoming sophomore album, the track Hang It Up. The single follows on from Hands, which peaked at #29 in the UK earlier this year.

T-Pain samples Lily Allen in new single, 5 O'Clock

US rapper T-Pain has released his new single (the sixth from his RevolveЯ album), 5 O'Clock. The track features fellow US rapper Wiz Khalifa and English singer/songwriter Lily Allen. The single heavily samples Allen's track Who'd Have Known, taken from her 2009 album It's Not Me, It's You.

Additional notes - Allen's Who'd Have Known actually samples Take That's hit Shine, the second single from their 2006 album Beautiful World!

Unfortunately Miss Lily doesn't feature in the video, but none the less, here it is.

Scottish singer/songwriter Emeli Sandé has premiered the video for the second single lifted from her upcoming album Our Version Of Events, the Naughty Boy produced track Daddy.

Sandé's debut single Heaven peaked at #2 in the UK earlier this year. Will Daddy match it's predecessors performance? The track is just as a strong and truly showcases the artists talent. We can't wait for the album, which is due in January 2012.

The uber talented Will Young has premiered the video for the second single lifted from his Echoes album, the Kish Mauve penned track Come On. The single follows on from Jealousy, which peaked at #5 in the UK.

The video is a comical yet cute parody of the Crufts show dog championship run by the Kennel Club. In it Young plays an owner showing his lovable companion that doesn't quite stack up to the other contestants... or does he?

Beyoncé drops single cover and remix for Party, featuring J Cole

After releasing a string of videos to match the various releases from her 4 album, Beyoncé drops the single cover and unveils a remix of her US Urban Chart release Party. The original album track featured Outkast's André 3000 on vocals, however the remix sees him replaced with rapper J Cole.

The video, which is expected to premiere this week, features a range of cameo appearances which include Bey's sister Solange Knowles and fellow Destiny's Child team member Kelly Rowland. Also to note, the clip was directed by Mamma Bey herself.

Mother Monster has revealed the covers to her upcoming releases - Born This Way, The Remix and Born This Way, The Collection.

The Remix album, her second following on from the successful remix album of The Fame, contains remixes of tracks from the Born This Way era - some of which are new and are yet to surface.

[VIDEO PREMIERE] RIHANNA FEAT. CALVIN HARRIS "WE FOUND LOVE"

Barbadian pop star Rihanna has premiered the video for her current single We Found Love, featuring Scottish DJ Calvin Harris, and I must say, what an exceptional video she has delivered.

Filmed in Northern Ireland the video features RiRi, her man (played by boxer and model Dudley O’Shaughnessy), and their emotionally-driven relationship. From the opening prologue delivered by a young Irish lass through to the departure of Miss Fenty at the end of the clip, the Melina Matsoukas direct video is fully charged.

We Found Love contains a love story caught in a dark place, a hopeless place if you will. Drugs, booze, sex... you name it, it's got it. For me it's like Trainspotting with a Rihanna backdrop. RiRi and co could have taken the route of providing us a cheeky video with RiRi flirty her assets in a club, however we've been blessed with something a little more inspiring with a interesting story to tell.

She certainly ain't losing no motivation - Kelly Rowland has premiered the video for the next international single to be lifted from her Billboard 200 #3 album Here I Am, the dance gem Down For Whatever.

Produced by RedOne, Jimmy Joker and The WAV.s, Down For Whatever is one of the more uptempo tracks listed on the album. The video, directed by fashion photographer Sarah Chatfield, features the UK radio remix of the track.

British band Coldplay have premiered the video for the second single lifted from their Mylo Xyloto release, the track Paradise.

The single has already charted in a number of countries worldwide and has currently reached a peak of #16 on the Billboard Hot 100. It's predecessor, Every Teardrop is a Waterfall, peaked at #14 earlier this year.

In the video lead singer Chris Martin plays an elephant who escapes a zoo to join his other elephant buddies in their band, naturally.

I think by now you all realise I have a soft spot for the original UK Pop Idol, Will Young. Between he and Aussie star Darren Hayes, these two talented boys take care of all of my male pop needs.

After confirming the single release for Come On, Young has gifted us a beautiful acoustic version of the track. If you haven't done so already, you need to listen to this version. Mind blowing.

[FRESH RELEASE] Sunday Girl / Love U More

Back in 1992 I was a teenager who was really starting to explore his love for music. Don't get me wrong, I already had an extensive collection of cassingles and 7" vinyl records from the 1980's (ha!); but in 1991-'92 something just clicked.

At that stage a UK electronica group called Sunscreem released a track called Love U More, which to this day is still one of my favourite tracks ever. The single was a great success, even reaching the coveted #1 spot on the US club charts at the time.

2011: in step 23 year-old Jade Williams, aka Sunday Girl from Broxbourne, England with a an amazing cover of the track and I'm absolutely captivated. What a great find.

LISTEN TO NEW RICKI-LEE WITH "RAINING DIAMONDS"

Australian pop star Ricki-Lee Coulter, known simply as Ricki-Lee, is back with a new look and a new sound. After spending time out of the musical spotlight, which included shelving her 2009 Hear No, See No, Speak No album release, the Australian Idol alumni is ready yet again to take on the world.

Raining Diamonds, co-penned by the star, is the first of new material to be taken from her upcoming album release. "It’s absolutely, without a doubt, the best music I’ve ever made… I know everyone says that - but I’ve never said that – honestly this is the truest representation of who I am," says Coulter of the new track.

The last time the ex-Nova radio presenter took the charts by storm was with her single Can't Touch It, which peaked at #2 on the ARIA Singles Chart back in 2007. The song achieved platinum sales status and went on to be featured on the Sex and the City 2 soundtrack.

Lady Gaga releases single cover for Marry The Night

Earlier today Lady Gaga promised her fans that if "Marry The Night Single Cover" become the number one worldwide trending topic she would release the artwork for the track. So, as expected, the single cover has been released.

As the fifth single from Born This Way, Marry The Night has always been a fan favourite. From my point of view looking at the cover I'm more excited than ever about the video release, which was shot in Staten Island, New York.

NICOLE SCHERZINGER ANNOUNCES NEW SINGLE "TRY WITH ME" FROM "KILLER LOVE" RE-RELEASE

She may be teasing the current Australian market with her latest single Wet, but Nicole Scherzinger isn't stopping there. The Ex-Pussycat Doll babe has announced her new US based single Try With Me as the first of new recordings to appear on the re-release of her debut album Killer Love.

The Nervo penned / Soulshock produced track is set to be released on 30 October in the US, with the album scheduled for a release on 6 December. The revamped Killer Love is scheduled for a 14 November release elsewhere.

Try With Me is not the only new track on the album. Additional new material includes Trust Me I Lie and Tomorrow Never Dies, as well as the remix of Right There featuring 50 Cent.

The video for the single was filmed in Xilitla, Mexico; which is where the shots (above) are taken from.

Florence + the Machine to hit Sydney with Ceremonials promo tour

UK band Florence + the Machine are set to hit Sydney in November for a Ceremonials promo tour as part of the Debit MasterCard "Priceless Music" concert series. The group are the third to appear as part of the MasterCard promotion, following Birds of Tokyo and Kasabian.

Aussie's will be some of the first in the world to hear Flo and the groups new material live, and after seeing the guys live last year at Sydney's Enmore Theatre, this is an event I certainly won't be missing!

Ceremonials has so far produced the promo single What The Water Gave Me, and lead single Shake It Out, which is currently fluttering around charts globally. Watch the video premiere for Shake It Out online.

Tickets go on sale Tuesday 8 November, for the show Tuesday 15 November at Sydney's Seymour Centre. Tickets are strictly limited to four per person and are only available for purchase if you have a Debit MasterCard. For more information on tickets visit the official site.

Hot on the heels of premiering the video for Countdown, the third official single to be lifted from her 4 album, Beyoncé delivers another video to add to the collection - the single/promo track currently bouncing around the Australian charts, Love On Top.

The video, an ode to Bey's love of Motown and boy band classics such as New Edition and The Jackson 5, is perfect fit for the feel of the song.

And I must say, after what was originally deemed a flop of a campaign, I think the 4 era is starting to pay off. Well done Mamma Bey.

Melanie C to release Weak and Let There Be Love as the next singles from The Sea

Ex-Spice Girl Melanie C is set to release two different singles from The Sea as the follow up(s) to Think About It. The UK will be served Weak, whilst the rest of Europe will receive Let There Be Love.

Weak will be released 6 November and the limited edition CD single features the previously unheard uptempo track Stronger. The video for the track is currently being filmed. Let There Be Love will be released some time in December.

[VIDEO PREMIERE] Luciana feat. Betty White / I'm Still Hot

Club superstar Luciana has employed the talents of celebrity all-star Betty White to appear in a remix of her recent club smash I'm Still Hot.

The mix is in support of The Lifeline Program, which is "a life insurance settlement company that redefines the golden years and retirement for seniors and baby boomers." Hmmm.

Seriously though, White is a classic in this - complete with hot muscle boys, cheesecake and a boa constrictor - this is the best thing she's done since those Snickers ads.

[VIDEO PREMIERE] ENRIQUE IGLESIAS FEAT. PITBULL AND THE WAV.S "I LIKE HOW IT FEELS"

In what is set to be the umpteenth single taken from Latin heart-throb Enrique Iglesias' Euphoria campaign, the new RedOne produced single I Like How It Feels has just had the video premiere. Similar to I Like It, the track features US/Cuban rapper Pitbull and The WAV.s.

The video is pretty much an ensemble of tour and backstage footage with cameos from Nicole Scherzinger, Nayer, actress Eva Longoria and tennis player Serena Williams.

Another collaboration set to appear on the revamped album is a duet with Jennifer Lopez. The track, produced by DJ Frank E, is titled Mouth 2 Mouth.

[VIDEO PREMIERE] Cher Lloyd feat. Mike Posner / With Ur Love

X Factor UK contestant Cher Lloyd has premiered the video for the second single to be lifted from her upcoming album Sticks & Stones, the track With Ur Love featuring Mike Posner.

The track is great follow up to Swagger Jagger, in fact, some would say it shits all over it's predecessor. Just sayin' of course. Based on the reception Lloyd received with her debut single, I'm expecting this to also do quite well for the lass.

Kelly Rowland to release Down For Whatever as next international single from Here I Am

 Hot on the heels of the gorgeous video where Miss Kelly Rowland finds herself essentially straddled across loads of handsome and half-naked men in Lay It On Me (featuring Big Sean), Rowland is about to release Down For Whatever as the next international single from Here I Am.

The RedOne / The WAV.s produced track has had it's own video directed by fashion photographer Sarah Chatfield, who was also responsible for the videos for singles Motivation and Lay It On Me. If those pieces of artistic heaven were anything to go by, we're in for another sexy treat with the X Factor UK judge.
